I mean, he ended strip 838 with "eh", after all. He could have gone with "yes", but I suppose they did that one before.

No, he used 'eh' to mean 'whatever'. The word he was looking for was 'meh'.

Canadians use 'eh' to turn a statement into a question:

That was a good strip today.
That was a good strip today, eh?

What Smolder said, plus the fact that Canada doesn't exist in OotS.

That hasn't stopped them before. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0209.html)

Also he might have Orcish Ancestry (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0496.html). (Myrtok sounds Orcish to me).

Also he might have Orcish Ancestry (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0496.html). (Myrtok sounds Orcish to me).Uncle Myrtok is actually a white human cleric who is not biologically related to the Greenhilts. Part of him can be seen in panel 4 of #491 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0491.html).

The panel is from a scene in SoD, where Uncle Myrtok is mentioned.

Start of Darkness actually-

it shows what happened before the moment when Eugene abandoned his quest- which was what the Deva was referring to in that flashback panel.

EDIT: Swordsaged.

Wait...people took this seriously? Also, technically, something like Canada must exist somewhere in the Stickverse; Thog had some of Celine Dion's music available, after all. She must have been from somewhere.

Thog had PC levels. PCs are allowed to reference things outside the Stickverse. They do it all the time. Tarquin referenced Star Wars. That doesn't mean there's a Death Star in orbit.

I don't think PCs or status of major character is even neccesary to break the fourth wall. I'm sure there are several examples of minor or throwaway characters doing so.

Silly! It's in the Rift - disguised as a planet!

The Abyss. Or maybe Carceri, they have lots of torture in Carceri...

Reminds me of an old Wizards thread on Canadian fighter substitution levels. (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19527258/Canadian-style_fighter_substitution_levels) I could maybe see Roy taking the first level for the diplomacy/sense motive as class skills. Probably not the 4th or 6th, though.

Celine Dion is an Eldritch horror from beyond the edge of time. She goes where she wills.

If Celine Dion is from Somewhere, then we don't need Canada to exist in the Stickverse, she already has a nationality :smalltongue:

A. What is this "Canada" you speak of?

B. Not all Canadians frequently use the word "eh," and non-Canadian use the word as well.

The Oracle can see beyond the fourth wall. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Am I the only one that thinks we sometimes read FAR too much into some of the throwaway jokes in this comic?

My money is on that being a team of dinosaurs summoned by the wizard Toronto.
