The purple chick with the lightsaber staff thing. Who is she/what species is she?

Some variant of "near human".

Zeltrons tend to be more red than purple, but she could be one of those I suppose.

A PC uses Force Slam on a droideka and does 4d6 Force damage to it. The droideka has SR 20. Does the SR dampen the Force damage?

Based on the tattoos and the shockstick, I am 95% sure that the woman in question is Jarael (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jarael), one of the main characters of the Knights of the Old Republic comic series, who is apparently an Arkanian offshoot. I say 95%, because I really don't know why she's purple. It's not a traditional choice for her.

It depends what it is from. If it is an Energy Shield (From KOTOR), then it applies only against energy damage. All other Shield ratings, unless they say explicitly otherwise, reduce all damage types. Droidekas appear to have simple droid shield generators, so it reduces all damage types.

I chalk it up to weird lighting choices. Arkanian off-shoots should have a lighter skin, but w/e.
