I was just looking at the Fanged Mask(MIC 99) the other day, and saw that it was roughly equivalent to the Horned Helm(MIC 112) in the same book, in that it was 8,300 gp versus 8000 gp, except it also had bundled in with it a 3/day save versus stunning.
Now, the stunning, that's nice, but with a fortitude save DC 13, it's not something that I'm interested in at all. Especially when the Horned Helm in comparison is 8K gp, even if it's a set damage where the fanged mask does damage based upon size.
So I was wondering if anyone had some thoughts about repricing the mask (or both of these items) or had encountered some decent homebrew that touched upon similar items that would make for either a good reference or just an alternative.
Also, given that they're items, enchanting without a necklace of natural attacks, probably kosher?
