Lotro German version?

Any of the Lotro players here have the German version? Someone joined my kinship today. I was trying to explain how to chat in kinship chat by typing /k and join our chat channel by typing /joinchannel. None of that was working. I did a quick search online and it seems the commands are different in other language versions. Is there a list of the / commands for the German version of the game? Is there a way to add the English / commands to the German version?

I assume his native tongue is German because well, why else would he have the German version? One would think it would be a fairly quick affair for him to figure it out on the German site if a straight translation doesn't work.
