From 3.5 to PF: Feat Transfer

My group is finally considering a change from 3.5 to PF. A question that's come up: feats.

In 3.5, there are tons of feats from tons of splat books, not all of which have an equivalent in PF. Is there a rule (official or inofficial) what to do in such a situation?

In my eyes, it could either be

"If there's no feat of that name in PF, then you can't have it!"

or

"If there's no feat of that name in PF, just use the rule from 3.5!"

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

That depends on your DM. Do you want 3.5 feats or not?

If you do, then "use the 3.5 wording" is the general rule, with some specific modifications needed for some.
