Dragonborn + template

In Race of Dragon, its clearly specified that Dragonborn are a RACE that is REBORN...

I was wondering if I could have a character with the half-fey template to become a Dragonborn and KEEP his template.

Is that possible?

IIRC, Dragonborn affects racial abilities, and a template is not a race. I could be wrong.

You are correct. Dragonborn alters the base race as it is presented, not the templates added to it.

A Half-Dragon Draconic Human who becomes a Dragonborn doesn't become less dragony, haha.
