Instead of meating the Minbari, the Interstellar Alliance meet the Martians. Looking through their database, Earth discovers that the Martians had been on Earth previously, and their namesake, Mars. Under similar conditions in which the Earth Minbari War starts, the Martians declare a genocidal war against Humanity. Assume that the Martians have the same strategic and tactical bonuses to their space fleets they did in the original Mars Attacks movies, but their technology stays the same.

If the Martians are too powerful, then the Drazi help the Humans.

If the Humans are too powerful, then assume the Martians bribe the Gaim.

It really depends as we don't see the abilities of the mars space force in ship to ship combat, all we see are their ground forces.

The ground forces are significantly flashier and more impressive than anything used in B5 but we don't know how they function to get a good grasp of whether that actually makes them better, ie do forceshields work against them etc.

Really to have an answer I'd need to see the martians fighting someone more on their level instead of a non-space capable Earth.

The martians lost to a non-space faring human civilization. And its not like bad music disappeared. I pretty sure the humans will outright win.

Not even close to a like-for-like. The Martians are a single planet with probably sub-FTL technology who failed to defeat 20th century Earth; the EA is a huge space-faring major power. Hell, they probably out-number the Martians, for a start, and almost certainly out-size them. Even if the Martians bribed the Gaim, it would basically become a verses thread of Earth Alliance verses Gaim; and given as the Gaim are a minor power, the EA would be able to defeat them fairly readily (if diplomacy didn't stop that before it started).

In fact, it would be very much like the Earth-Mimbari war, except the humans would be playing the role of the Mimbari, and unlike the latter, wouldn't have stopped for philosphical reasons.
