Serpentine posted this one up a while back, and I'm kind of surprised that nobody noticed: This artist actually had a request thread up on the very forum not too long ago, to convert Avatars into a semi-realistic style. A bit of an odd request, but I'm trying to find a picture of a flump(from dungeons & dragons, and also pathfinder)
So far all i've foudn for flumphs are either the oots ones, the 1E mm one, or a picture of the word "flumph'

Paizo has a flumph taking out a goblin.

She'd need gloves, a high collar and a full mask of cloth covering her face from neck to hairline. Preferably with dark hair but it's no big deal. Armour and weapons are optional (but shouldn't be heftier than medium armour and onehanded simple weapons to use DnD terms).
Is this lady covered enough? You gave no direction on style of dress, you know.

Style and colour of dress (and/or armour) is optional. But that's too much skin. :smallbiggrin:
I'm looking for a mask that cover the entire face, up to the hairline and with only a pair of holes for the eyes.
Nice pic, though. It still goes into my collection. :smallwink:

I'm looking for a sun/light priest of sorts. some a mount of robes are a good idea but it need not cover the entire body. A golden aura is a nice plus.

That's... a hard one.

Most of the ones I find with the mask on have little clothes, the ones fully clothed tend to have the mask half off.

Great thread. I'd love to know where you're all finding these pictures so I can make an attempt to add to the conversation. My google-fu has always been terrible.

Which brings me to my (hopefully simple) request: I've been looking for a picture that would fit the character whose name I use as my screenname here. He's a bald, human wizard with a small goatee. Nothing I've found thus far has felt right to me, so I'm hoping the experts can help.

I began with the terrible google-fu method as well. As Daft mentioned, Deviant Art and other art sites get used a good bit. But for trying to find something to post yourself, trying to find something from those sites blindly can be a bit tough.

Whenever a new Magic the Gathering set comes out, I usually check out the sites for some of the artists. They produce a ridiculous amount of fantasy themed art that is appropriate for the thread.

My favorite method, is to find an image that someone else posted that I like. I then right click and "copy image location". I then try to navigate around to find the gallery that image is a part of, because in most cases, if there is one cool image on a site, there are more to be had as well.

Yay, I finally have a request to post here :smalltongue:
For a possibly-someday-upcoming campaign, I would need a picture for my character, not too specific. He's a human male ex-soldier, something like 33 years old, rather muscular (Str 16), about six feet tall and masculine in general. He has a rugged face (looks like at least 40 years old), worn from stress and battle. Brown or black shaggy hair, obvious stubble.

If possible, he would be wearing a chainshirt suitable for desert conditions (perhaps some covering clothes or a hood?) and carrying a greatsword and/or longbow.

Thanks in advance, I'm sure someone has a suitable picture. :smallsmile:

Hmm, nice, and meets most of the criteria but something about it just doesn't click. I guess some more info about the character in question might help with finding the right picture:

He's an ex-commander from the army (or guard), might change, technically a Bard/Warblade, who is known for doing basically everything by shouting (kinda like Dovahkiin I guess :smallwink:). He uses bardic music by shouting, he casts by shouting (or whispering in a couple cases), he uses maneuvers by shouting, he shouts whenever he attacks. Well, he can also sing, make speeches and spin his sword in a fancy manner, but the most distinguished part is the shouting.

He was reserved for relatively simple battles, since he didn't really have the patience or proper mindset required to lead stealthy maneuvers, but was a tremendous fighter and commander. After some so-far-unspecified incident, he was kicked out. After some rough years of drinking and bar-brawling, he's decided to straighten up and look for a way to regain his fame.

So while those pictures of yours give me more of a Lawful Good vibe, this guy would be more Chaotic Good. Closer to a barbarian than a paladin in both looks and character.

Important things

Flowing silver or golden hair
No beard
Not around any horses - the character is afraid of them :smalltongue:
Reasonable armor (No WoW type shoulderpads, for example)
Has a shield

Bonus points if he's actually in the act of protecting someone.

1) A scantily clad voluptuous redhead mage/sorceress. Preferably with darker red hair than lighter.

2) A buxom blonde rogue. Preferably with a tom-boyish style(pants rather than skirts etc) and shorter hair. Even better with it's a cleavagy skin-tight bodysuit with leather piece-mail over it.

Umm, I would need quite a specific picture...

I am making right now a character who is:
- 6-handed (probably 3 bows)
-sneaky (magic shadows style)
-kind of magic archer

And would like a picture with at least 2 of above...

Only 4 armed but in the MM3, P34, Arrow Demon. Sounds a bit like what you wait, maybe a tad more clothing needed (It is SO nice of all evil things to at least have a loin cloth :smallbiggrin:)

I have more of a challenge for everybody, since I seem to have such a hard time finding very many of these myself...

I have a humanoid primate race (no, not humans) in my homebrew world that has six different subraces to it. Gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, lemurs, capuchins, and baboons are the bases. All I seem to be able to find are Planet of the Ape pictures and/or depictions of "the Monkey King" from Asian folk lore. I am curious to see what else you guys might be able to dig up!

Hmmm... ok, Primate races as fantasy. My own person criteria is nothing human looking. So any picture of a primate standing on it's hind legs like a human made the cut.

And for right now I've found a good picture for the blonde rogue, just not great. I posted what I found above as well. It's pretty much spot on except for a few listed qualities. I'm not too hopeful that I'll beable to find something better, though would certainly be awesome. If anyone could help it's as always greatly appreciated!

The first from left is obviously some kind of spellcaster, Sorceress I would guess, 'cause I don't see a spellbook and she has a spear (or is it a staff?).
The first on the right would probably be a Ranger.
The one kneeling by the bleeding one might be the Cleric, because of the morningstar, but I don't see her casting healing spells, so I might be wrong.

Well, most of that set of pictures seemed to be Dragonlance stuff, so I'm sure she is a wizard, as sorcerers don't really exist in that setting (I know they do in the campaign setting, but name one that appears in the books). You were right. It is surprisingly difficult... I could find a few female tattooed arcane casters, though. Mostly the pathfinder iconic sorceress.

The unfortunate thing about Khadorans is that they are sorely underrepresented on the gunslinging front. They have/had a nation dedicated to dueling and yet not one pistoleeror or gunmage in the army lists. Frown worthy.

This is very true, and very sad. Maybe a petition to Privateer press is in order.
the plus side is they have Vladimir Tzepesci, who i believe is considered one of the greatest swordsmen in the iron kingdoms.

yes, well what defines a gnome aside from being a tiny humanoid?

In my opinion it will probably be their anoying chiled like attitdue (or at least the way I play them). But since we are talking about body features I would say that the head should be bigger in compression to the rest of the body, and more child like. Should have added more details earlier.

Google has sort of failed me so I thought I'd ask you lot since you normally have amazing art.

I'm looking for a human, elf or demon (minimal demon features, no horns, no wings, no tail no nothing) male with long, light hair (preferably blond) for a rogue->shadowdancer character of mine. I'd like the mood to be somewhat playful/flirty if at all possible. So anyone got any suggestions for something like that?

That would be a godsend if most of the images weren't resized with no way of finding the original version.

Anyone has pics that could be reasonably used for a pleasure-devil (D&D 3.5, Fiendish Codex II) in its true form (can be both female or male)? The picture in FCII doesn't even show it in its true form. :smallsigh: I guess they were thinking that a pleasure-devil is so much similar to its lower form, the erynies, that they didn't have to.

I'm unsure what you mean by its true form, the description is nothing but a beautiful woman which is what the picture is of. In the spoiler are a few devilish women, but I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for.

On another note I need a civilized minotaur for an upcoming fourth edition game. He is actually a voodoo gambler type but just any sort of minotaur who looks intelligent and not necessarily bloodthirsty will do.

I have a bit of an odd request. I need a woman who could pass for a wildlife biologist. Essentially, this is a woman who lives in a fantasy world with a technology level between Middle Ages and Renaissance who has chosen a career studying animals and magical beasts in their natural habitats. I would prefer for her to be an elf, halfling, or gnome, but if you find a member of another race who otherwise fits the bill, I'll take it. She should be young, but other than that specifics of appearance are unimportant.

Ok, I need something for a superhero game I'm running. Looking for a female character, Platinum Blond, bit of a tan too her, blue eyes preferred but not inherently required. Should come off as kinda on the tall and athletic side (She's a superhero, go with it.) And she's suppose to be a teen hero, cause it's a teen titans game.

Need her in Civilian Clothing and in Superhero attire, which does include a mask. She's mostly a Gadget based character if that helps, and she has a lot of wealth advantage.

I know it's a weird request, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to go looking.

Hi there. I'm wondering if anyone could help me find a picture to match a character of mine.

He is a Major in the army (medieval setting), mid 40s in actual age but having been a soldier since since he was 16 he could very well look much more haggard than others of his age normally would. He wears full plate and fights with a swordpike or a broadsword, though I'd be just as happy with a military looking man without the armour or weapon. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm not really a fan of anime.

Also, if someone could explain to me how to link to pictures so that they appear in the actual posting instead of just a link to another website I will be able to contribute some pictures as well.

Basic things I need are for him to be wielding an Aldori Duelling Sword like the two images above (obviously a katana does just as well, visually), to be wearing lighter armour (he's starting with a chain shirt and I'm going for a Dex-focussed build) and to have long hair. I'm flexible on hair and eye colour so he doesn't have to look too overtly aasimar-ish.

EDIT: Actually I can change him to a woman easily enough so gender's not an issue either, just need something wearing something with a similar feel to those two and holding the right-looking weapon.

I don't know if any of these will work and there are only a couple males, but it can't hurt.

Bit of a strange request: I need someone who is NOT Emiya/Shirou/Gilgamesh/etc. surrounded by melee weapons. Lots of melee weapons.

The weapons can be in a non-dramatic setting or an action-packed one, but juxtaposition between one person and far too weapons for him to (normally?) use is the emphasis.

Actually, I forgot to mention that once below the shoulder there's not need to show, so one with short hair drawn back that could pass by long would work as well.

That's three good images. The second, though, appears to me too old. I'd say that woman is 40. I'll pick betwen first and third.

Looking for pics of anthropomorphic rabbits/bunnies of either gender. The problem here is that I have a fairly specific appearance in mind for anthro rabbits in my game which is neither too humanoid (so no "human with bunny ears") nor too monstrous (so no "rabbit that walks upright"). With fur, but not "hairy". Faces mostly human, no long snouts (but can be slightly longer than human mouths). Hands human. Legs... well, at one hand I prefer human legs and feet, but on the other hand legs and feet similar to animal hind legs (how's that called?) would put a bigger emphasis on the fact that they're an exotic race.
I'm making a whole community of anthro rabbits and would like to have pics at least for all the most important NPCs.Found a couple that might work, but you're right, there's not much in-between (some I've posted just cuz I think they're neat).
