The main thing that pushes me away from it is the feat requirements that are bonus feats for a core ranger.
However, it does get full druid animal companion, and the druid casting is probably better than the equivalent ranger casting. I think it also qualifies for swift hunter, a decent build being something like scout 5/druid 1/ranger X.
What does the playground think of the prestige ranger?
