So who else loves Rootabaga Country? Who wants to go to the Village of Liver-and-Onions and meet the Potato Face Blind Man, or watch the Village of Cream Puffs be wound back down to earth? Who wants to take the train where the tracks are in Z's and meet Hot Dog the Tiger?
For those who don't know, the Rootabaga stories are short stories by Carl Sandburg, written almost like fairy tales. They're very surreal and often humorous. Also, they're in the public domain, and you can find them here (http://josephperry.net/rootabaga/) if you're interested in checking them out.
I'd recommend reading at least a few, if you haven't already. Personally, I think they deserve more exposure then they get.
