So, out of... odd circumstance today, I have aquired the following items:

1x Thin sheet of waterproofish fabric; ~1m diameter octagon. Mauve coloured.
1x Flimsy spidery metal fanning... spider-like structure.
1x Thin collapsible baton thing.

I do not know what to make of this situation. (Ahahaha, pun intended. :smallwink:) I have thought to myself and considered making a

Semi-waterproof carry bag
Sharpened collapsible baton
A thingy that is like a structure to stand under against rain
A semi-waterproof hood
A decorative metal spider
A new umbrella
A piece of artwork
A mess

But, all of the above that I have considered, for one reason or another (too simple, or too questionably legal, or too pointless, or too umbrella) they seem unsatisfactory. So I turn to the playground: What could I make out of these three above items. :smallconfused:

Man, I thought the topic was Space Materials, not Spare Materials. :smallfrown:

This is a very complicated way of saying "I disassembled my umbrella today, what can I make out of it?" =P

That said, I can't think of any productive use for the collapsing frame, the baton really sounds like it could be added to anything you want to make longer, and the fabric...I dunno, a very small raincoat? =P

EDIT: Also, "sharpened collapsible baton" sounds suspiciously like "automatic shiv". :smalltongue:

Well, if you stick a magnet on the end of a baton, you can use it to pick up things on the floor.

Spider arms. Become a super villain.

The fabric, maybe coasters or to protect something?

Ah, I forgot this thread.

I do suddenly love the idea of a kite, though. I know that before it broke, I had a hell of a time chasing the umbrella through the rain...

I'm... not going to make a small body bag. Sorry. :smalltongue:

But, the magnetic baton sounds useful like it might be a useful item to have.

Thanks, guys!
