hi there. i'm preparing a pirate campaign for my group (3.5, but that matters less) and while i try to acquaint myself with naval terms and the like, i'm looking for ship designs to convert and/ or use for my campaign.

i've been reading the Stormwrack book (3.5 DnD) and though it has a few designs, i'm looking for more.

can anyone help?

Arms & Equipment Guide has a few more.

If you're interested, I have a ship design I made myself... It's a galleon with three decks, but it doesn't have any props and just the ship.

The D&D ships are rather squat looking and understatted... The Exemplars of Evil had one horrid caravel >.>

So what are you looking for then ship terms or D&D stats for ships?

Mongoose had put out Seas of Blood, Ships of the Elves, Ships of the Goblinoids, and Ships of War. They have ship designs (and a few PrCs) in them.

There's a miniature war game called Uncharted seas (http://www.spartangames.co.uk/games/uncharted-seas) that has some cool designs you might want to look at.

You should be able to find a copy of Palladium's "Adventures on the High Seas" relatively cheaply, which has a large number of ship designs.

There are the Spelljammer's Ship Designs in the Wotc page available for download. If you ignore the more outlandish designs and the flying rings around some of them, you could easily pass them for real ships.

There's a few designs in Explorer's Handbook, but I'm going to assume you already saw those, given the username. Other than that I know of a pirate ship (http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=92817) and a square rigger (http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=98152) both already set for matool. The best ship map I've ever found is still The Maiden (http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/index.php?view=product&product=24), if you have the patience and steady hands for it(and lots of color ink).
