(PF) Sohei Monk (Duncan's Reach Fighter 3.0)

So, in my quest for a reach fighter that does what i want it to do...

Monk FEATS:
Imp. Unarmed Strike
1 Combat Reflexes
2 Deflect Arrows
6 Imp. Trip
10 ???

IT seems to have all the pre-reqs of a decent polearm fighter: imp. unarmed strike, enough feats for everything, weapon training with polearms, and even the ability to make flurry attacks with them. Good saves are nice, the only sad bit is the 3/4 BAB. Also, the ability to wear light armor seems contrary to the WIS to AC.

Any thoughts? thanks in advance all!

I'm not sure what you're looking for. You picked power attack, so you're good.

I personally would kick out all the cleave feats, except for maybe cleave itself, since I don't find them to come into play all that often.

Since you can only flurry after level 6 and even then you will have to live with the penalty, you might even consider weapon focus to help with that.

Since you're taking improved trip, you might consider investing in combat expertise, so you can take greater trip.

I always like lunge, especially with a reach fighter.

Also, I don't think you can use deflect arrows while wielding a two handed weapon, so I'd go for dodge instead.

I also think that the Sohei should be able to get their AC bonus when wearing light armor, but alas...

Also, maybe consider getting a mount and maybe mounted combat.
Cavalier 4 and the Horse Master feat (requires 6 ranks in ride) can get you a full progression mount. But even without that, just buy decent mounts with money.
