thanks guys. i'm currently trying to figure out how to make the rest of a d20 set. not sure what the best way to go about it. most companies use an injection mold to create their dice. casino's use a cnc machine to make their dice, and i'm pretty sure that how crystal caste does their dwarven stones line.

unfortunately i only have simple hand tools. and since this is a hobby i won't be buying any machinery... although i can think of a number of use for a good 3 axis cnc. i wonder if i could sneak that past the wife...

Well, you know, dice are traditionally a certain size for the sake of convenience, but there's nothing that says they can't be bigger. Maybe you could start with some big-ass dice the size of an orange to hone your techniques--and probably sell them on eBay or something, even if they aren't tournament-legal.

reminds me of when I used to be in the toys industry and go to the Nurnberg Fair.. there was a small booth there which displayed a case full of dice hewn in semi-precious stones..I've been drooling on it forever.
