What can I do with contingency? Specifically, I'm setting up a duel between myself and a 20th level fighter.

If the fighter wins initiative, I'm likely boned (I think we're starting within 30 feet).

Could I have Contingency: Time Stop set to go off if the fighter goes first?

I'd go with something like "Non ally with weapon drawn gets in 10 feat of you"

Not Time Stop, no. The contingent spell maxes out at 6th level. So you could do something like Mislead (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/m/mislead) or Getaway (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/g/getaway) or Repulsion (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/r/repulsion), or a wall or something.

Also, though you can only have one Contingency, remember that you can have any number of Programmed Images (well, limited only by component cost and GM fiat). Since illusions only get a save if they're interacted with, it's worth throwing in as many of these as you can think of.

Basically, consider every possible move your opponent might make against you, and what would be awesome to happen to them if they tried it. The make a Programmed Image for each one.

Really?

I normally hook my Contingencies to "When I say OMGWTFBBQ" because Free Actions can be taken out of turn and whenever I want
