Hey everyone, so I've been going through everything on the pathfinder SRD recently and combing through all the little details, templates, feats, races, etc.

One thing I've noticed far and above everything else is that the site has a *ton* of 3rd party material in it.

I'm trying to transition from 3.5 but its a lot easier to say "SRD legal" than all the little details of what I may or may not allow from the PF SRD site.

Do you feel that the material placed on the Pathfinder SRD should b fair game including the 3rd party material?

Not at all. Aside from the psionics stuff, a lot of the third party there is unbalanced (even by PF standards) and largely untested by the community.

If you want the SRD that has only official Paizo material on it, that "PRD" is available on their site. (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/)

Well Psyren beat me to it. But it bears repeating, If you want Paizo only material just use the official PRD (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/). d20pfsrd.com (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/) is a great site. It is really well designed. It has lots of additional nifty little tools etc.

But it is best to keep aware that a lot of the 3rd party material is functionally still in Alpha testing, let alone Beta. Some of the developers toss up things there precisely to get comments and refine their material. I would never just put a blanket OK on everything on the SRD site.

Psyren already alluded to it, but it bears repeating that while a lot of 3rd party stuff tends to be unbalanced, the Dreamscarred Press psionic stuff is generally viewed to be an exception.

It is worth noting that at the bottom of every page there is "Source" line telling you what book/who published it.
And at the top of most pages is usually a "logo" that does the same thing.

So it shouldn't be too hard to say "everything NOT 3rd party on the SRD"

I navigate the SRD pretty much every day and only once I ended up on some 3rd part material thinking it was Paizo. Just stick to the menu on the left
