In oots 0276 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0276.html) we read that the order of the scribble first sealed holes, then built the gates. I guess that answers Redcloak's question in a later strip (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0545.html), when he wonders why snarl isn't killing anyone. I am not sure if this has been discussed, what do you think?
