As I was reading through the exalted books, the sidereals caught my eye, so I got an idea.
A Sidereal who follows in the style of the Maiden of Secrets, but uses it to gain personal power, and tries to play the Politics of the world for his own gain.
This Exalt is the Illumnati and all the Xananthos Gambitry in a single mortal form.
Often I imagine his/her introduction being a quest giver or target of political inquiries that the PC'sare hired to act on, or they become targets of vengeance by intervening in the twists this Sidereal would make in the Webs of Fate.

Thoughts/Advice/Criticism greatly appreciated

You've basically described all Sidereals.

For the most part that works out and into the sort of political power plays that are Tuesday for all the gods and faction and factionless Sidereals that make up Yu Shan. With the caveat that you are restricted officially from having certain levels of power and wealth in Creation due to the rules of your job. Though since you live better than the vast majority of Creation in divine estates and get paid in chocolate mana from heaven anyway. For the majority of Sidereals this isn't an issue.

Yeah, that's essentially every Sidereal who isn't a Ronin. And even then, some of the Ronin are like that too.

Especially now that Ronin can make Resplendencies. Kind of hard to amass personal power if nobody remembers who you are.

Yep. As keychain of creation teaches us, if a Sidereal seems straightforwards and direct in their methods and or goals it is because they are manipulating you as part of a long term and subtle plan for you which began before your circle formed. And your mistaking their actions for direct is proof that you have fallen into their trap, and you can only hope that their goals for you as carried out by their ubiquitous planted agents is benign.
