In this comic (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0669.html), Roy talks about a certain Sheila Finkelstein. He says his dad and her mum were competing in the 1175 Wizzy Awards.
In SoD (page 19 to be precise), Eugene talks about the one year Suzy Finkelstein beat him to be top of his class at Wizard school.
So, yeah. Nice little self-reference.

I figured this didn't quite fit into the 'didn't notice' thread because it's a cross-book reference, but please merge if I'm wrong.
