The build's logic is the following: since the psionic focus mechanic limits the usefulness of metapsionic feats, I won't bother with either. Using multiple psionic talent to gain extra PP and relying on augment to stay relevant in the battlefield.

Race: Strongheart Halfling
Alignment: any
Template: necropolitan (optional, not that important to the build except for immunities)

2 flaws

(all of the above has been regularly DM approved in my campaigns but the build really shines with flaws, without them it's not nearly as impressive).

STATs (32 pts, can work with much less if required)

STR 6 (small sized so equipment weights half as much, 6 should be enough str)
DEX 18 (To hit and AC)
CON -
INT 18 (Main stat)
WIS 8 (no need for WIS 13 without psionic focus)
CHA 14 (Concentration checks and skills)

Level 1, Erudite

FEATS: Psicrystal affinity (free feat), Psionic Body (2 hp per psionic feat, from class bonus feat), Psionic talent x4 (2 flaws, 1 from level 1, 1 from race bonus)

HP = 24= 12 (undead)+12 (Psionic body +5 other psionic feats)
PP = 18= 2 (class)+2 (1/2 Int bonus)+14(Psionic talent x4, 2+3+4+5)

Every further feat should also be psionic talent (gaining 2+x PP and 2 hp) except 1 slot for boost construct (not useful at level 1 since you need to gain astral construct first, and it won't be available until level 3 according to Erudite rules)

Since Astral Construct is a level 1 power, it should be fairly easy to find (and 50 gold, on average, to learn according to the Erudite article concerning learning new powers)

Equipment: mithral chainshirt and shield (no interaction with manifesting) + some mundane weapons just in case.

Erudites have a very limited number of different powers per day but they also have access to swiss army knife powers too (crystal shard, astral construct, ectoplasmic entanglement, energy wall) which easily offsets that problem.

Were you asking a question, or just showing your build?

If you want AC at first level, Hidden Talent or Mantled Erudite (Creation) can get it.

I understand your reluctance to use Metapsioncs, but you should really reconsider it. Even with the focus limitation, they are very worth it for any primary manifester.

Psionic Talent is usually not worth it outside of E6 or other low-level games.

Psionic focus isn't really that limiting. In many ways the requirement of higher level spell slots for metamagic is more limiting. Spell slots after all are a limited resource where as psionic focus can be expanded and gained as often as you can pull it off. Which with the right feats and powers is a lot.

I mean with two feats and a single power you can use psionic focus four times in a single round. Psicrystal containment gives your psicrystal a focus you can expend and psionic meditation lets you regain focus as a move action (by the wording on psicrystal containment this means you can refocus your crystal with a move action too).

So in a single round you can expend your own focus, expend your crystals focus, use a move action to regain your focus, use a swift action to manifest hustle to gain another move action, use that to refocus your psicrystal, then you have both focuses available to use again.

Now of course you'll probably never need to use four focuses in a round. But the fact that you can (and quite easily too) means that focus doesn't really limit the use of metapsionics.
