While its a bit much to call it a forgotten gem, its more like a forgotten 17th century gold coin.
Still a pretty awesome find.
How to describe it. Its a solid horror story for kids. You may as adults simply might not be scared, but its got a solid story (And an ending I REALY like).
Its a bit too safe for adults but it will terrify but not too much for kids.
Thats not to say its not better then 90% of all horror films. Gorn or otherwise. Just a bit too little for adults.
The animation balances on the line of uncanny valley, never entering that valley but dam close. Generally it still holds up today.
For a score? 7.5/10. Slightly off from being a gem but as it is its great.
Watch it with your kids.
