Hi, so I was out at a shopping centre when I saw this sign:

http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p517/hyperflibble42/email_Divine-Cakes-Edited.jpg

I started thinking about what Divine Cakes might be... perhaps you can eat them while wearing armour without a chance of cake failure ?

Is there another company that makes Arcane Cakes ? Perhaps the Arcane Cakes are more flashy, do more direct damage (to your figure) whereas the divine cakes are mostly buffs / healing and protection.

It also begs the question about if some divine cakes are domain slot cakes, I mean, perhaps there are special divine cakes that you can only get if you worship certain deities or are on a certain diet ?

Finally, what about using divine cake metamagic ? Can you spend turning attempts in conjunction with the persist cake feat to get the effects of the cake to last 24 hours ? Even if you can't do that, I expect the widen waistline feat will be automatically applied if you consume too many divine cakes.

Comments welcome :-)

(Incidentally - I removed the phone number from the picture just in case anyone thinks I'm trying to advertise this company... I have no connection to this company at all. I have no recommendation (positive or negative) about their products. I just thought the sign was funny and worth sharing here.)

Now I'm hoping for a shop called Psionic Sandwiches.

Cakes suck.
That's why I'm getting an Arcane Pie today and having it cast fireball on a slab of meat.

Ahhh, Magic Cake (http://earthbound.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Cake)...

That takes me back.

...That's it, next session we're totally having psion sandwiches for dinner.

Cakes! Pastries! Balloons! Wait, what? Okay I get that there's catering printed on the signage, but, uhm...yeah. Divine Cakes don't exactly scream "balloons" to me.

To me it doesn't matter if the cakes are divine or arcane. But I much prefer prepared cakes over spontaneous ones.

One advantage of cake is that you don't have to expend higher level spell slots to use still and silent cake.
Unfortunately, eschew ingredients just isn't worth it, nor is quickened baking.

Divine cakes are only allowed bludgeoning weapons.

If the cake is made of all natural ingredients, does it have an animal companion. If so, then will the animal companion eat the cake?

I saw an ad for Illusionist Cakes once, but it turned out to be a lie.

Divine Cakes, Arcane Pies and Psionic Sandwiches. Deific Donuts, Magical Muffins and Telepathic Turnovers. Pious Pudding, Spontaneous Snow cream and Mental Meringue.

Well, it's a catering company. I guess they also do some decorating.

they make 2 kinds of cake.

depends on if its vanilla or chocolate. of course, they can only be made by neutral bakers, so it doesnt come up much.

Turn fire elementals ?
Rebuke cold based creatures ?

Perhaps there is a semi-elemental plane of cakes.... Like the semi-elemental plane of ranch dressing (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0802.html) ?
