At level 12, what would be some of the highest bonuses i could get to a skill. For example, INT based skill, with a int bonus of +6. How high i bonus could i get here?:smallconfused:

Well level 12 means 15 ranks, your int would give you a +6 bonus so we are up to 21. If there are synergy bonuses from having 5 ranks in other skills that would be +2 per synergy bonus. If you have items or spells or racial or class abilities or feats that add to skills, they would be factored in too.

Maybe you could specify the skill in question? And what books are allowed?

A permanent, all day bonus, or can you settle for only making an absurdly high check a few times a day? Knowing which int based skill would also help greatly.

It depends a lot on the skill. Max ranks for an in-class skill is level+3, so couple with your modifier for a +21 skill modifier. For most skills you can get a Masterwork item for 50 gold to give a +2 competence bonus as well, but the main bonuses will come from spells or from the unplayable Item Familiar feat.

Ok, on second thought i should have included more. I was challanged to make as strong a TRUE NAMER as possible. Yes i know, many people think they are bad, but i think that if i can get a good bonus to my skill i might be able to make it work. And all WoTC books are allowed

What classes do you have access to as allies? What scrolls/wands can you get your mitts on?

Then stay away from true namer, you are liable to lose your ability to taste ice cream by playing one.
