[3.5] RAW Question: Wild Surge and Metapsionics

Riddle me this, playground:

1. I am a Wilder with a metapsionic feat that increases the power point cost of a power less than or equal to my wild surge amount and has me expend psionic focus.

2. By surging and expending psionic focus, can I use my wild surge to "pay for" the augmentation cost of the metapsionic feat?

Metapsionic costs are not augments. They function similar, but they are not augments. Wild Surge IIRC, specifically states that they have to be augments. Augments are the abilities listed in the augments section of the power's description, and they are the only things you can spend Surge PP on.
