Let's say that I received a warning and then an infraction for the same reason (an inappropriate topic for example). If both of them expire and I get another infraction for the same reason, will it count as an infraction or a warning? What if onl the warning expired, but not the infraction?

Sheriff of Moddingham: Once you receive a Warning about something, all future violations in of that section of the rules (say, Inappropriate Topics, to use your example, or Circumventing the Board Filter or Thread Necromancy) will default to being Infractions. Violations in that category will always be Infractions after the first Warning, regardless of expiry of any prior Warnings or Infractions. You get one Warning per section of the rules.

Of course, moderators do have the discretion to issue any violations as a Warning or Infraction if it is particularly minor or particularly egregious, regardless of whether a Warning or Infraction has been issued before. Such cases are rare and entirely in the mod's discretion, but it does happen.

The default is warn for the first violation in a section and infract for later ones.
