There's a decent handbook over at Brilliant Gameologists (which I've submitted some suggestions to): Being Ra's al Ghul-Oslecamo's guide for DMs to improve their monsters (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=578.0)

Improving monsters is a bit of a pet subject of mine - there's tons of op advice for PC and even NPCs, but discussion on pimping monsters for DMs is a bit limited. :smallwink:
