Items, Materials, and Enhancements
In this thread will reside every user-submitted item or magical enhancement designed by the Playground. When submitting your items, please do so in the approved format, with no extraneous detail. Doing otherwise will result in a thread that is hard to navigate and search. For the sake of people being able to search for the item that they want, please read the instructions for tagging thoroughly before posting your item!
*Note: Please disable your signature when posting to this thread. To do so, uncheck the "show your signature" box under additional options when posting (or editing).*
Entries should look like this:
[Tag] Item Name (http://google.com): A one-line explanation of the item.
Please do not include any additional information or spoilers.
Some items will have two or more [Tags].
Some items may need an additional [Epic] [Intelligent] [Cursed] or [Artifact] tag.
If necessary, prefix with a [Magic] [Psion] or [Mundane] tag if there is possible confusion.
Special rules apply for magical enhancements (See below)
The item tags should be one of the following:
[Material]
[Weapon]
[Armor]
[Gear]
[Potion]
[Ring]
[Rod]
[Scroll]
[Staff]
[Wondrous]
[Other]
For magical enhancements, include a tag denoting the power of the enhancement, for instance:
[+4] [Magic] [Weapon] Killing (not a real link): On a natural 20, kills your enemy.
or
[Epic] [+6] [Magic] [Armor] Protecting (also not real): Prevents death when hit.
For ease of searching, all tags should follow this order: [Epic] [Artifact] [Intelligent] [Cursed] [Enhancement bonus] [Magic/Psion/Mundane] [Item]
More examples:
[Cursed] [Magic] [Armor] Blinking (nope): full plate, you can't stop blinking
[Artifact] [Wondrous] Turbine (nope): Dwarven engine.
[Epic] [Intelligent] [Magic] [Ring] Power Ring (nope): Green Lantern's Ring talks to him.
[Mundane] [Ring] Gold Ring (nope): It's made of gold.
[+2] [Psion] [Weapon] Power Sword (nope): Psionic sword enhancement.
This way, someone can type "[+3] [Magic] [Weapon]" into their search bar and be able to quickly find all instances of what they're looking for.
If you have additional suggestions for tags, or questions on how to tag your items, please come to the discussion thread. I know for a fact that there are item types that I'm not thinking of.
