Does dealing nonlethal damage to a Jovoc transfer through it's aura to the players?

SRD says nonlethal damage (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/injuryandDeath.htm#nonlethalDamage) "is not "real" damage," so it apparently doesn't count.
