Spontaneous Casters and the Runesmith

The Runescribe(RoS) is a nice Arcane PrC, especially for Gishes. But, the rune magic section says he learns to prepare spells as runes, does this replace previous spontaneous casting ability? Is it optional?

How does the Runescribe interact with a class like Sorcerer?

Do you mean the PrC from Mongoose's Quintessential Dwarf? When talking about an obscure PrC from an even more obscure book, it's usually a good idea to specify where it's from.
