I made a Wiz 5/Incantatrix 10 character, but need two more levels to finish it before starting the game.

What do you suggest? It's mostly a generalist/batman build, but I'd like to hear my options.

Somehow getting my hands on Arcane Spell Surge would be nice.

What race?

I tend to like Archmage in my Incantatrix builds.

All Human party, no flaws allowed.

The game is supposed to go epic levels at some point (without epic magic), so I was planning to leave archmage for later, unless there is no problem in holding the high arcana until you feel like it.

Mage of the Arcane Order is a good pick.

if BoEF is allowed, take Metaphysical Spellshaper. IMHO it's more broken than Incantrix with the ability to add MM for Ability Damage, which only ever a spell or two to become Immune to. If you have Persistent Spell you can make any of your buffs you cast last all day without have to make a Spellcraft DC.

Why wait? Except for Spell Like Ability and Arcane Fire (and possibly Mastery of Counterspelling depending upon your build) it really doesn't matter when you take the levels.

Mastery of Elements is really nice because it lets you alter your orbs (assuming that is what you are using for damage as an incantatrix) to any other energy type on the fly.

Arcane Reach makes touch range spells into spells that qualify for Persistent Spell.

Mastery of Shaping is great with stuff like Disjunction, where you can exclude your allies.

Part of your problem is going to be getting the feats to qualify for some PrC's, Incantatrix really eats into those.

Initiate of the Seven Fold Veil is nice, although you won't complete it pre epic.

Mage of the Arcane Order also offers some advantages.

Oh, you did take Spontaneous Divination, right?

Can't find it. Is it on complete arcane?

It's from Complete Champion (page 52).

Benefit: You can spontaneously cast any spell of the divination school by sacrificing a prepared spell of equal or greater level.

It really saves you spell slots and makes you much more versatile.

If you have a way to cast Divine Spells, Dweomer Keeper can let you cast spells as SNAs, which will ignore XP and GP/material costs. At that point nothing is keeping you from Simulacruming anything you wish.

Except don't do it. Simulacrum's casting time is too long and it's broken anyway.

There's always Abjurant Champion. It even makes thematic sense since IIRC Incantatrices can't ban abjuration.

Arcane spellsurge isn't a sorcerer only spell, so you can take it regularly, but if it's of interest, wyrm wizard from Dragon Magic lets you poach any spell from any list in the game and put it in your spellbook.

Mindbender for 1 level is always nice to take the mindsight feat. If you can get skill focus from Frog God's fane and therefore not use up a regular feat slot, 1 level of loremaster for a free feat is nice, or 1 or 2 levels of divine oracle.

Master specialist is generically solid

How many ways for you to be treated as "spontaneous caster" while being a full wizard?

Also, it is Arcane Fusion that I wanted, not spell surge.

Paragnostic Apostle in Complete Champion is a solid choice with no feat taxes.

Divine Oracle in Complete Divine gets some useful benefits, and you can get its feat prerequisite for 2,000 gp by saying you visited the Frog God's Fane detailed in Complete Scoundrel.

Ruathar from Races of the Wild is pretty good for filler, again no feat taxes.

I will take a look at them.

Is the Loremaster good enough for some filler? Getting Lore certainly helps when you don't have a bard and getting that extra piece of info might prove vital.

Also, Uncanny Forethought is a wonderful feat. Didn't prepare the right spell? You can cast it anyway. Casting time too long for you? (I'm looking at you, Genesis) Now it's a full-round action.

EDIT: Wait a minute. Can you use Uncanny Forethought with Epic spells? If so, you can increase casting time by 100 days and 10 minutes for a free -220 to your Spellcraft DC, then cast it as a full-round anyway.
