So for the hell of it, I have a new halfling wizard coming up. I decided to try a fighting familiar for my improved familiar. But there is one thing that is tripping me up.

Glacier Snake

Speed: 20 ft. (4 squares), climb 20 ft.
Armor Class: 16 (+3 Dex, +3 natural), touch 13, fl at-footed 13
Base Attack/Grapple: +1/+0
Attack: Bite +4 melee (1d6+3)
Full Attack: Bite +4 melee (1d6+3) and sting +2 melee (1d6+1)
Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft.
Special Attacks: —
Special Qualities: Fast healing 1, low-light vision
Saves: Fort +6, Ref +6, Will +1
Abilities: Str 17, Dex 17, Con 16, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 2
Skills: Balance +11, Climb +11, Hide +8, Listen +9, Spot +9
Feats: Alertness, MultiattackB, Weapon FinesseB
Environment: Cold mountains
Organization: Solitary

Level Adjustment: —

Now under the familiar rules, it says:

Attacks: Use the master’s base attack bonus, as calculated from all his
classes. Use the familiar’s Dexterity or Strength modifier, whichever is
greater, to get the familiar’s melee attack bonus with natural weapons.
Damage equals that of a normal creature of the familiar’s kind.

My question is, do I just use the snakes stats as they are, or do I used them and add on my BAB to the snakes attack bonus listed?

Thanks for the help!

You'd also choose the higher of Str or Dex for the ability modifier...which you would do anyway since the snake has Weapon Finesse. Any other modifiers for the attack roll would apply as usual.

Wizard's BAB+3+X for the primary attack and Wizard's BAB+1+X for the secondary attack, where X represents any modifiers to the attack other than ability mod or BAB.
