We haven't had one of these for a while, thought it might be fun.

So, what's your current party look like? Here's mine:

FIST OF DESTINY (fairly tongue-in-cheek party name)

Jagormon (me) 1/2 Orc Ftr 2/Rng 2/Brb 1. Mainly melee, with some archery. Died once, but fortunately Reincarnated as the same race (lucky roll!). Strong convert from agnostic to Obad Hai.
Akamon 1/2 Orc Cleric 5 (of Heironeous). Jagormon's 1/2 brother. Tank and healbot, mainly. Currently collection pieces of a dragon slaying magic item set.
Toddor Grey Elf Rogue 3/Wizard 2. Primarily an archer, stealth type, skillmonkey and arcane dabbler.
Pax Kivik Human Fighter 4. Trip and disarm specialist. Recently died, and managed also to roll the same race (human) on the Reincarnation table.
Zargana Gnome Conjuror 5. Primarily area control, but also direct damage and some buffing. Sex = undetermined (got a whole Varsuvius thing going on).

1. Zac Balarinn (me) - Lesser Aasimar Battle Sorcerer 6 / Swiftblade 6. Pretty solid gish eventually taking Warblade and JPM. Party thinks his constant need to cast the haste spell is to mitigate methamphetamine withdrawls.

2. Shuey - Human Druid 12 - Bite of the Were[creature] shifting face ripper. Occasionally casts spells but usually is some sort of hawk perching on one of our shoulders.

3. Anton - Dwarf Monk / Fist of the Forest / Deepwarden / Tatooed Monk / Binder - Interesting dwarf who hunts pigeons and other animals; refuses to go indoors to a lot of places. Apparently knows how to steer ships pretty well.

4. Jamon - Really, we don't know his name, we just call him random things (fire elf) - Factotum / Warblade / Eternal Blade - He's kinda like a cross between Indiana Jones and Link. Also, my character told him he belonged in a museum.

5. Balo - Sun (read:bro) Dwarf Crusader / Cleric / RKV - Swings around a heavy flail - was in the process of being reincarnated but was instead subject to a raise dead via deity intervention. Covered in ritual runes and scarring; I bet he's pissed about his golden tan now.

Okay, I like this.

We have free LA of +3.

The Dragon Bloods and Beatstick

Roderic Mcleod (me): Human Heritage Draconic Half Vampire Necropolitain. Dread Necromancer7/Sand Shaper1/Dread Witch 1//Cloistered Cleric 6/Dread Witch 3(lvls 2-4). Minions, Healing, DMM Cheese. I'm eventually going into walker in the waste for Unholy Toughness. Cha to HP, yes plz.

Eris (wife): Canomorph (Hell Hound) Barbarian 1/Warblade 8//Outsider 4/Martial Rogue 2/Dungeoncrasher Fighter 2/Warshaper 1. The beatstick. Large Sized pouncing charger with Knockback and dungeoncrashing.
Soon to have Mage Slayer line.

Merith Half-Nymph Draconic Warmage 9//Swashbuckler 3/Duskblade 6. Two Weapon Crit fisher/channeler. Has pretty good DPS when she can get a full attack in. Working on getting pounce to fix that.

Grem Grem Dragonwrought Dark Desert Kobold Beguiler 8/Conjurer 1//Druid 5/Master of Many Forms 4. Wildshape centric, Currently runs around in war troll form dazing enemies on hit. Also uses shadow weave, and will have shadow craft mage, to open up the versitility of beguiler.

Jynx Tibbit Wizard 5/Incantatrix 4//Artificer 9: Batman + Crafter. Focused on buffing over blasting. Can't remember the name of his template, but makes him Abberation and gives int, SR, and some other minor things.

The Guardians of Mystra's little girl. Who really need a new name.

42 - A large-sized escaped(?) experiment of a demon-wizard who is presumed deceased after having an epic showdown with a hero from the lore of the world we were genned in. Currently MIA.
Tairvian - A Wildshaping Ranger/Master of Many Forms whose pet St. Bernard Mosley* just gained sapience. Is fond of the phrase '**** you! I'm a bird!' A bit jumpy, especially about conclusions, something of an amateur geneaologist. Trying to make heads or tails of how Grazzt and Mystra are related at the moment. Currently trapped in some kind of Fairy-tale world by "The Manipulator."
Milena - A journeywoman cleric of Mystra who was one of several sent out to scour the countryside when one of the High Priests of Mystra predicted that a new avatar* was going to be born and needed to be protected. Of the Reformed sect of the Mystran church and had a severe difference of opinion with the Wizard who was a Mystryl Fundamentalist over the matter of how best to safeguard the avatar. Currently trapped in some kind of Fairy-tale world by "The Manipulator."
Sweety(Sweetie?) - A Gnome-Goblin hybrid bard known for her lust for gambling and men. One of the two founding members of the party to stick around along with Tairvian after Hawk*** the dwarven brawler had to head home to settle his parents affairs after a tragic mining accident. Fond of wearing a mask of the skull and playing a Shakuhachi or however it is spelled. Is trying to get her hooks into the adoptive brothers of the avatar of Mystra. Just managed to somehow make a deal with an unknown entity to rescue one of them, Shane, from the Abyssal layer of his great-grandpappy Graz'zt. Currently trapped in some kind of Fairy-tale world by "The Manipulator."
Riggian - A dwarven Paladin of Freedom who got roped into helping us by a traveling Half-Celestial Paladin who originally hired us for the job of looking into the weirdness surrounding the Avatar of Mystra. Currently MIA.
The Aesif Twins - A pair of brothers, one a wizard and the other a sorcerer. Were of two minds about the avatar, one freaked out by the incidence of an avatar in the manner and time that it happened and the other trying to adopt it and very jealous about the child, especially with regards to Mosley and Milena. Currently MIA on their way to answer a ritual summons in what was a nearby desert.
The New Guy - A Dwarven Marshal (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12949603) with an axe to grind against some demons for reasons as yet undivulged. Currently trapped in some kind of Fairy-Tale world by "The Manipulator" who directed him to the members of the party as "his chance to get his foot in the door." Is currently watching the party's HQ and sniffing around town for a mysterious serial killer known as "The Demon" while the party investigates some mansions looking for clues to the killer's origins and nature. I honestly can't remember his name off hand.
Will - a Druid that went looking for his adoptive little brother Bill who was sent off on a suicide mission by the druid grove that raised him after getting so fed up by him that they completely changed their core philosophy to survival of the fittest. Managed to find Bill, but by that point Bill had gotten roped into protecting the avatar of Mystra and Will couldn't just leave that job in the hands of city-dwellers. Currently MIA in the woods outside of the town the party had been based in after the party got lost following the destruction of said town by a plague and necromancer.

Party level ranges from 7 to 8.

*The Avatar - a small girl-child with phenomenal cosmic power. Currently MIA, but confirmed to be with 42 by divinatory magic. Was about to be handed off temporarily to our Paladin contact for safe keeping before we went into The Cage, AKA Sigil.
**A wild cohort/urban companion that Tairvian raised from a pup along with a whole litter that Tairvian and his mysteriously unspecified number of siblings, of whom a Totemist and Druid have been mentioned
***Hawk was just a Dwarven Fighter, I believe he made it to level 3 before the player had to move away.

Gavin (Me)- Human Rogue5/swordsage1/Avenger4. Slightly depressed assassin who is more afraid of middle age then any dragon.

Henk- half orc Barbarian/champion of gswifidfwhatever. Redeemed savage who will bring peace and harmony to the world, even if he has to beat it to a pulp first.

Lorenzi- human cleric 12. Some old dude that no one else in our party likes as much as they should.

Dingle- halfling druid 12. A halfling prince who doesn't talk much, mainly because he is a dinosaur. His animal companion is a lion who has a higher kill count than most professional armies.

Wulfstan: NE Azurin Incarnate 4/Crusader 1. Me, Blood War veteran (his village was conscripted by a Yugloth and were trained to fight using the stolen souls of their fallene enemies), tanks and has a lot of HP, also has a zombie slave made from the strongest animal we last fought, which is smarter than him since Incarnum Zombies have 10 Int.
Jewel: TN Human Rogue 5. Mob boss on the run from the law, wears 2500 gp worth of non-magical jewelry and fulfills the standard trapfinding and sneak attack role.
Beridan: NG Lesser Aasimar Wizard 5. Worshipper of Ehlonna with the Arcane Disciple Feat (though a houserule of ours, he's taken it twice to get both Protection and Plant domains), most of his other spells are direct damage.
Tristan: TN Changeling Warblade 5. A feral Changeling who focuses on the Tiger Claw discipline, but also disguises himself as a human Iron Heart master when in towns or cities.
Sek: NG Kappa (Homebrew amphibious race) Dragon Shaman 5. Used to be a power-hungry fool, but after becoming a student of a Silver Dragon, has learned the virtues of Good. Generally supports in combat, but has a nice breath weapon.

Crew of the Name I'm Not Allowed To Say On The Forums, all 3rd level

Ariana (me): Human necromancer , currently making everyone run away from me, with the occasional conjuration to make people fall down.

Grizzly Clawthorn: A human druid with a crocodile companion, who on rare occasions hits with his sling, is also the healer of the group.

Skrite: An elf inquisitor who is the only one playing full pathfinder, including skills and traits, the rest of us are playing 3.5 with pathfinder races.

Illum Darkstrider: Warblade currently missing an arm due to general incompetence and using a critical miss table. Rolled 5 1s in a row, all with the same maneuver.

Soron: Gnome warlock that fires rainbows everywhere, is currently the wind for the ship.

Currently:
Jack Jackson, Attorney at Law, Specializing in Interspecies Law, Also an Adventurer (me) - human factotum (I can't say "Jack Jackson" without half the rest of the group chiming in with his full title)
Meowsputin - catfolk monk
? - changeling cleric of St. Cuthbert (I can't remember her name because the DM only ever calls her by pop-culture references.)
Thud - warforged druid
? - goliath barbarian (I can't remember her name because it's something in Gol-Kaa and she only joined a session ago.)

My group is currently running a high-op game. Most +0 and +1 LA races have been houseruled to give two +2 ability bonuses, with no penalties, for no level adjustment. We started at 1st level with extremely above-average ability scores. We also have a half-price-feat house rule, basically bad/tax feats can be taken two at a time for the cost of one feat. Every class gets at least four base skill points per level, the only cross-class skills are Iaijutsu Focus and UMD. Trapfinding no longer exists, anyone can find traps; as a class feature it's replaced by a +2/+2 skill feat of your choice, such as Alertness, Stealthy, etc. There's also no multiclassing XP penalty.

Human Psychic Warblade 3/ Arcane Swordsage 1 with a Greathorn Minotuar Greathammer, my character. Psychic Warblade can learn Psychic Warrior powers in place of maneuvers, it's an adaptation the DM developed and it's way too strong. Arcane Swordsage is limited to Abjuration, Evocation, and Transmutation, but I can use Martial Study to gain spells from other schools, as well as psionic powers from other class lists. I have a psicrystal with Share Pain, and of course Vigor. After Arcane Swordsage 2 I'll be going back into Psychic Warblade. This is the first time any of us have used Psychic Warblade, and it may need a slight adjustment.

Goliath Dragoon 4, chain tripper build. Dragoon is a Fighter adaptation, and he's able to use Fighter ACFs such as Dungeoncrasher and the Zhentarim Soldier substitution levels. He'll take any excuse to stay single-classed on any character he plays, and he never plans ahead on feats which he's currently regretting. Goliath can benefit from Enlarge Person due to houserules.

Human Unarmed Arcane Swordsage 1/ Psychic Warblade 1/ (Idiot) Crusader 1, going to take two levels of each of those classes, one Pious Templar, two Master of the Nine, and I'm not sure what he's going for after that, probably more Swordsage and Warblade. He's doing this trick (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=12672635&postcount=3) with this build (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12785974#post12785974), probably going to get White Raven Tactics on his Crusader maneuvers eventually and break the action economy. Right now he spams either Vanguard Strike or Crusader Strike, and uses his Arcane Swordsage maneuvers to buff everyone with Enlarge Person and Mighty Wallop.

Goliath Monk 1/ Sorcerer 2, with Ascetic Mage houseruled to have the same prerequisites as Kung-Fu Genius so it can be taken at 1st level, and Powerful Build affecting his unarmed damage. Going for Monk 1/ Sorcerer 4/ Enlightened Fist 5/ Master of the East Wind 10, which is pretty much only good because it gets 18/20 Sorcerer spellcasting. He insisted on using the Monk class, but didn't want to use Tashalatora. His 1/day Stunning Fist has actually come in handy, and luckily he took my advice and picked up Power Word: Pain. Between Mighty Wallop, Enlarge Person, and Vanguard Strike, he's been able to contribute in melee. He got Draconic Heritage for free at Sorcerer 1, and he'll eventually get Draconic Breath with Blinding Breath.

Forgotten Realms 3.5, game's about to start any day soon.
we're all starting at lvl 2 but I already know a bit of what my friends intend to build:
Ps: I don't know what will be their char names. We're all dudes.

Elessar (Me): Female Sun Elf, Conjurer (aiming to become a bat-mailman). Cut a deal with the DM, got a tel'kiira (so far, only thing I get is to write my spells there, instead of my grimoire. DM wants to use this item as a huge plot-hook.)

xxxxx: Female Avariel, Sorcerer. She's got blue dragon blood and many races of dragon/dragon magic shenanigans. Cast-out from her city due to dragon blood (the blood was infused on her lineage due to a centuries-old rape).
Perhaps he'll use some meta-breath stuff, but he's oblivious to char-op stuff and some splatbooks (basic english only).

xxxxx: Male Human, Druid/Cleric of Ilmater. He's built around Vow of Poverty and if I'm not mistaken, also Vow of Pacifism.

xxxxx: Male Human, Paladin. the standard noble, Gallant warrior, perhaps building a Purple Dragon of Cormyr.

xxxxx: Male Halfling, Rogue/Trapsmith. Not much to add other than the player usually going for psycho/suicidal characters.

Hmmm... we just started two sessions ago, so we haven't had much time to play yet. it's supposed to be a short adventure, but so far it's fun. if you're interested, you can check It began with a Crash! [adventure log] (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233191)

Trivian Killpi- halfling rogue 2. a sort of a Belkar. bastard, sadistic, got to use laxatives on the party allready. fights with a chain he wrpas across his hcest.

Glimji Surefoot- gnome beguiler 2, ex pirate, ex carpenter. in a world that hunts down arcanists, and that generally dislikes gnomes he tries to keep a low profile

Lynn Ardent- human fighter 2, focuses on heavy flail. (My character ) sour faced and somewhat bad tempered, she was let out from the elite arcane hunter force called The Fist, and tries to find her way in the world. quite prejudiced against the small races.

Ayla- human favored soul 2 of the goddess of love, she is supposed to be a mega babe, and supreme healer. the second part works well, the first part... um, less.

Teal'c- half orc fighter 2. new player to the group and D&D at large, sort of like the honorable warrior type.

the players get along quite well, about half the party is ready to kill each other. :smallamused: good times!

we're on hiatus right now, but here's where we stand:

Grom, orog (homebrew half-ogre/half-orc) crusader 10. Escaped from an orc nation that breeds half-orc slaves as soldiers. Recent convert to the vestige of the dead goddess of adventurers. Has died twice, once while attempting to solo a CR +6 giant crab while the rest of the party was resting (Grom no need to rest to memorize how to swing sword!) and again while discovering just how much different a "war troll" is from just a "troll".

Binjarb "Highfoot" Steadywalker III, Gentleman Adventurer. human wizard 12. Rescued by the party from enslavement by neogi. Raised by war hero uncle and sent to warmage academy. More of a dandy than a soldier, but a tactically sound combatant. Is the replacement character for a hobgoblin shaman who was "dis-armed" by a hag monk.

Robin Love, dwarven cleric 12 of the god of debauchery. Tries, with great success, to bang everything that moves, drinks to excess, but somehow manages to keep the party buffed and alive.

Sieh, elven ranger/initiate of the bow (12 levels in there somewhere). Quiet, but hates giants, and has the equipment and class features to vent that rage. Hasn't died yet, but got turned to stone by a beholder once.

Ragnarok ("Rags"), gnoll scout 10/pack liberator 1 (homebrew psionic PrC with anti-echantment/domination/charm abilities) from a tribe that was tyrannized by a trio of hags. He left to gain the power to return and free his tribe, but hasn't made it back to them yet. Has died once, from the awful combination of a charge into a melee, followed by a Hold Person spell and a coup de grace.

[EDIT: I forgot to mention that the name of the band is "Grom's Band", simply because the nearly 8-foot tall half-ogre in full plate was the most easily-recognizable member, and that's how the townfolk always referred to them. None of the members of Grom's band ever objected or tried to encourage a different name. They all seem rather fond of being members of "Grom's band" now.]

The party I DM for (mix of 3.5 and Pathfinder):

Dwarf Fighter 7. She has the Master Craftsman feat and is against the dwarven society's sexist ways.

Half-drow Battle Dancer/Swashbuckler/Iaijutsu Master. Underdark refugee, she was accepted by a fighter's guild and is trying to get used to the surface.

Human Inquisitor 7. He hunts non-registered spellcasters.

Kobold Sorcerer 2/Swordsage 5. The world's first kobold. He thinks he is a dragon, most people think he is a deformed yuan-ti.

Catfolk Factotum 3/Marshall 4. War hero from the fey courts, spirited away to the material plane. He lost his memory and every time he levels up he remembers a bit more about himself.

Elf Rogue 3/Swashbuckler 4. Captain of an airship. He got the crew together. Going into either Dread Pirate or Scarlet Corsair. Kind of a mix of Han Solo and Mal Reynolds.

I'll give my group's mid-range characters (well, one of the two groups I'm not DMing, anyway). This one is a Faerun game, so there's a bit of focus towards FR classes, gods and so on.

They Don't Have A Name, But They're Going To Kick Your Ass Anyway

Maris: Female TN star elf Druid 10; keeps a few spells active on her at all times, has an annoying tendency to wear bright and garish colours that offend virtually everybody that looks at her, has Natural Spell, and hates vampires (father was killed by one, mother was turned into one).

Sinic: Male CG venerable elan Bard 10 / Sublime Chord 1; the designated party face and diplomancer, and his player describes him like he's Sean Connery (complete with the accent, which is actually somewhat passable).

Tibby: Male TN awakened housecat Conjurer 5 / Malconvoker 5 / Mindbender 1; yes, this is exactly what it sounds like - he passes himself off as the familiar of Kell most of the time, speaking through telepathy, and has an irritating propensity for summoning demons that annoys Aris (below).

Aris: Male LG human Paladin of Kelemvor 6 / Warblade 1 / Divine Crusader 3; has an allowance to take Divine Crusader levels (and has SotAO) without the specific alignment requirement, is the party tank and "leader" of the group, insofar as he tries to keep them on the straight and narrow, and aimed at whatever undead monstrosity crosses our path (the DM likes throwing undead at us).

Kell: Male NG magic-blooded silverbrow human Mystic Ranger 7 [Knight of the Shooting Star 2] / Dragonslayer 1 / Nar Demonbinder 1 / Elder Druid 2; my character, replete with SotAO, in the backstory he's a boyhood friend of Aris, has a mildly unhealthy obsession with gaining knowledge and with demons (is often found bugging Tibby for details on the things he summons) but usually provides the ranged support for the group plus some spells and summoned helpers, and is trying to get an organisation dedicated to preserving and gaining knowledge started (the Elder Druid levels, and yes it's the Shannara prestige class).

the company of dawnhall

High priest of kossuth Brann Anveros (LN): Human warmage (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219088)8-(me) leader of the warriors of dawnhall, an old man strong in his convictions who tends to stick to preaching, buffing the party alongside Caine (see below) and spamming the battlefield with grease and the occasional lightning bolt. terrible sense of humor.

Avrok of the farlands(??): elan barbarian 1/psychic warrior 7- the party damage dealer, your typical uber charger with a tendency to froth when combat is near. as far as anyone knows he was a lab experiment before escaping his bonds and travelling the frozen outlands of the north, something brought him south into Harmell (city of game origin)

Caine "lady hair"(NG): Human bard 8- DFI words of creation based. a bard native to harmell who spends half his time in jail (where he has a nicer room then his house) and the other half sneaking into married womens beds "just for fun" who got the nick name "lady hair" from Avrok due to how much time he spends taking care of it each morning.. his main role is party buffer/information seeker.

Sarkoven (C?):Human druid 7/Barbarian 1- Secondary damage dealer/emissary to the dryads. a man we found wandering around a desert with his hyena with a love for the earth that borders on the criminally insane. he talks constantly about his home that was destroyed in a crusade against the "heathen witches" by the temple of pelor. likes to buff himself and his pet, drop his scythe, wildshape into an ape and pick it back up before raging into combat next to avrok.

we have one more potential member, who if i remember correctly plays a rogue/wizard/unseen seer/child of the night, but he's iffy.

I wish I could remember all of my crew's character names, but its only been a few sessions with these new toons so they are still green in my head.

Gestalt game:

Feldren(Me): Warblade 2//Scout 1/Urban Ranger 1 (I'm going for the synergy of Favored Enemy and Skirmish with Swift Hunter.

Tsubasu: Monk 2//Planar Ranger 2

???: Cleric 2//Bard 2

??? 2: Beguiler 2//Wizard 2

We are all Humans due to some house rules that fudge with Gestalt, so we can really use the Favored Class:Any to our advantage.

Here's my current party:

1. Johnny (me)- A former city guard who had to leave his family behind when he left to help save the world. He is a Fighter 1, Rogue 5/Homebrew Assassin 5/ Sword Sage 2. He primarily focuses on ranged combat using a crossbow, where he does nearly 100 damage a shot with 3 shots a turn. He currently is on a mission to save the other members of the party who have become vampire minions under a vampire lord.

2. Aron- A paladin of freedom/bard who has the old iaijutsu focus skill and also has dragonfire inspiration. He helps the party by giving them massive extra damage and wields a katana. He is sometimes considered the party leader, because of his charisma, but most of the time the party is considered to not have a leader, as we usually work together to think of a plan.

3. Aust- Aust is interesting. I'm not sure how to word a description because he is pretty random. I know he is a jade phoenix mage, and they he likes to time hop things. But, mostly, he is random.

4. Don- The party healer. He is a new edition to the group so I can't really describe him. He is played by a new player, who seems to like barbarian's more than clerics, thinking clerics are worse than barbarians. His main use right now seems to be using the heal spell against the vampires we are facing. But it didn't help them, considering Johnny was the only one who escaped the vampires.

5. Ichiru- Ichiru is a wilder/pyrokineticist who focuses on well, fire. He is the only evil character in the party, and likes to get in trouble. Before he turned evil, he and Johnny were pretty good friends. Now, they don't talk much, mainly because the player misses every other session and the DM forgets Ichiru in roleplaying situations.

The party doesn't have a name (yet), but they are all followers of Zarus, part of a military campaign to subjugate the so-called lesser races (i.e. anything not human for those unfamiliar with Zarus).

Armand Letendre (me) - Factotum 5//Fighter 2/Wolf Totem Barbarian 2/Warblade 1
A young nobleman with a hyperactive and impulsive personality and a fondness for sharp implements. This has led to him pursuing a variety of interests and combat techniques. He travels with a large variety of weapons strapped to his pack, most notably a spiked chain, and a carriage outfitted with an alchemy lab and various torture devices.
Favorite tactics include throwing, tripping, torture and thaumathurgy.
He's friendly, outgoing, civilized and has virtually no regard for humanoid life, I tried to make a character who's a nice guy but almost irrevocably evil.

Garth, Bear of the Claws of Zarus - Druid 5//Bear Totem Barbarian 4/Fist of the Forest 1
Leader of a tribe of barbarians devoted to Zarus, he's a typical barbarian who sees civilization as weakness. Very aggressive and not very fond of tricky tactics, preferring to buff himself and wade into melee, either with his warhammer or wildshaped.
Source of conflict in the party as he would prefer to just slay all nonhumans we encounter, and he's very suspicious of the necromancer in the party.

Xavior of house Anatha - Dread Necromancer 5//CW Samurai 5
Mysterious masked easterling, takes great pains to observe correct social norms with regards to humans and the chain of command in the army. Sticks mostly to scaring/debuffing the enemy and summoning undead, which puts him at odds with Garth. They've worked out an agreement where he promised to only summon/animate non-human non-animal undead.

Ewan Swordhand - Warblade 5//Scout 1/Wizard 4
Farmboy turned warriormage, short of stature and slow to anger. He's a quick and agile fighter dual wielding kukris, using his magic to enhance his fighting and for battlefield control. The player is new to roleplaying and slowly getting to know his character, which is fun to see.

In my most active games (all of which are fairly early in their life)

"Daily Dungeon" here at GitP

1st-level game with really old-school character generation -- roll 3d6 6 times, assigned in order that they're rolled, roll for HP at first level instead of max. The dungeon and all features are generated randomly.

"Team Gnome" is a caster-heavy group.

Fip Fillipip (me), male gnome druid 1. Surprisingly not the dumbest member of the party (Int 5), and working as the heal-bot. Animal companion "Mutt" (riding dog) far more effective than Fip in combat.

Carabelle Dinkeldorf, female gnome bard 1. Plays the accordion and uses a sling.

Kylie Wintermoor, female gnome bard 1. Bow-wielder and plays the gemshorn.

Crigglin the Sight Twister, male gnome wizard 1. Currently recovering from being dropped by a goblin.

Twinkles, male gnome wizard 1. Yes, more gnome and more wizard.

Murg, half-orc barbarian 1. Meat shield who barely eclipses Mutt for intelligence. Jokingly referred to as Fip's second animal companion.

Bouron, dwarf NPC (likely warrior 1). Currently stable but unconscious. Met him in our first dungeon room (complete dead end, dice turned up a "friendly" dwarf who's coming with us looking for the rest of his group).

The world of Ralan Gul is... Peaceful? at RPoL

We are playing "the go-to guys", handling the problems of the realm. Fresh from chasing off some dragons, the team has been asked by the king to track down a prized crown, stolen centuries earlier by a wizard reputed to have a fetish for traps. Our party rogue having gotten himself arrested (reality: removed from game for non-posting), we have picked up two new recruits in the town we're stating our search.

As it's still early-ish, I'm guessing on a lot of the details of these builds.

Alec Lockwood - male human rogue 5. One of the new recruits, he lets his fellow recruit do much of the talking.

Asher Graymane - male human rogue 1 / sorcerer 4. The party face and a true ladies' man.

Brandin Westerhouse (me) - male human dragonfire adept 5. Battlefield controller, wiseguy, and knowledge base (especially once we hit 6th, when I can pick up the draconic knowledge invocation).

Miggun - male halfling druid 5. Kind of the misfit of the group, despite the backstory making us a well-established party.

Par Rathorne - male elven cleric 5. Serious and plagued by nightmares. Which is odd, because elves don;t sleep.

Sharalyn Arcanscape - female elven swashbuckler 5. Another of the newcomers and the only female in the group. Her sense of humor ties in well with Brandin's.

Zuravar Brewrager - male dwarven warblade 5. Pretty much what you'd expect -- meat shield and heavy drinker. Another who gets on quite well with Brandin from a humor perspective.

No group title, but the campaign's current title is The Saga Of Not Helping, formerly known as Because It's Funnier That Way. As you will see below, we are so NOT high-op. Except for the psion, and he does as good a job as he can of party support.

Gabar, level 11 male human (Arabian) sorcerer, focused on blowin' **** up. If I recall correctly, he just added one level of Ardent for RP reasons. Gabar is working with the mercantile House Jafari and has marriage woes.

Liloo, level 14 female human barbarian/divine champion of Artemis/Order of the Bow Initiate. The barbarian rage is revamped to benefit Str and Dex instead of Str and Con. Our primary striker and a voice of reason. She was expected to return to her mother's tribe to be chief, but it seems unlikely. Can't keep 'em down on the farm once they've seen the big city.

Andromede, level 11 female human paladin/kensai. A paladin of Nike, thus concerned foremost with honorable combat. She wields a quarterstaff and is built for AC.

Muriel Azurent, level 15 female half-elf rogue/wizard/assassin/arcane trickster. She and Liloo have been around since the party started, over twelve years and two-point-five editions ago in real time. Inveterate thief, collector of poisons, user of scrolls. She's trying to respect Artemis and look out for Number One at the same time.

Crow, level 12 or 13 male human psion, with some wacky homebrew prestige class that lets him polymorph all day long. Crow is full of character. His item-fetch quests have been driving the party for a while now, and him turning disembodied was the reason Gabar started taking Ardent.

"Kaya", level 11 male human fighter/ghostwalker. Never actually gave us a name after we rescued him from a Medusa's statuarium, because he loses power when people know his name, but he expresses his gratitude in service. Generally the quiet type anyway. Hacks things with a sword.

Esheret Elthelovil, level 10 male human in a homebrew class that's somewhere between cloistered cleric and spirit shaman. Just joining to replace the outgoing cleric/templar healer. Has some weird ideas and abilities due to being Egyptian pantheon. His family name is Elven for "human who is silly in a way that used to be fun but is getting kind of annoying".

We're also about to pick up a level 10 shaper psi. More than that, I do not know.

Everytime someone calls their character a toon, I die a little inside.
I felt the same way every time someone talked about "drawing aggro"...I knew what they meant by the context, but for the longest time I had absolutely no idea what the point of reference was, having never played WoW or any other "modern" CRPGs that used that mechanic.

Party I've DM'd for the past year. The Minotaur and the Archer are the only original party members, all the others died on a failed treasure hunt. Currently they are fighting the Sarkriths who wish to destroy all magic.

Taurox: Minotaur Barbarian 8/ Half-Celestial (Savage Progression) 1: Allowed to use a over-ECL build because, well, he sucks at optimizing. Converted from Baphomet worshipping to Kord, and currently the spiritual leader of the group. Very Might-Makes-Right in mindset.

Ashe: Wood Elf Ranger 14/Scout 1: Unofficaly the party leader. Driven slightly insane by possesion by a Far-Realm entity. Quiet, and thanks to the Deck of Many things, has aquired a helpful follower who mimics her peronality.

Saint Row: Changeling Saint Monk 7/Fist of the Forest 3/Warshaper 2/Singh Rager 1: The name. Eugghh. Thinks himself some sort of John Wayne of the animal world. He plans to convert evildoers to good, but usually that amounts to nagging.

"The Stranger": Wild Elf Gunslinger 15: He definitley has a name. He just doesnt want us to know it. Thats it. Actually acts like Tuco from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, but is showing signs of sympathy for the Sarkriths.

And the guy who's character died, and is building a new one. He didn't want to come back to life after being told off by his god.

Henrik - Human Dragonblooded Crusader (of Kord) - A tactician at heart, he makes sure the party some cohesiveness during battle.

Razule - Human Diviner - Former alchemist turned adventurer. He likes to take the mundane or simple and make it awesome. Current favorite tactic is fly+invisibility or fly+protection from arrows+antagonize enemy archers. Eventually wants to become a Loremaster.

Daggun - Earth Dwarf Mineral Warrior Unarmed Swordsage - freed pit fighting slave who envisions himself as an elemental.

Laar - Human Cleric of Tychee - Prides himself in staying alive by being able to run away quickly. Focuses on being primarily a spell caster and battlefield controller.

Rocky - Human Dragonblooded Warblade - A divorced family man who adventures to feed his children. Loves turning enemies into piles of goo with is greatsword "Samantha".

Alangir - Human Psychokineticist - Newest member of the party (character is new not the player) after the party's factotum was turned into goo by a green dragon. Likes to blast things and make them burn using his brain.
