Spell resistance and Protection vs Evil

Just looking for a clarification on the rules;
When a summoned creature with spell resistance attacks an enemy warded with Protection vs. Alignment, does the warded enemy make a caster level check, or is there some other check that the summoned creature has to make?

Neither. The person who cast the Protection From Evil spell makes a caster level check.
