Consider the Oracle's prophecy's carefully. He has stated that:
` Belkar should savor his next birthday cake;
` Not bother to fund his IRA;
` Will draw his last breath -- ever -- by the end of the year.
But, true to Orackle form, it was never explicitly stated that Belkar would die. It was said that Belkar would lose his ability to taste, retire and breath. This realization leads me to conclude that the truth to the prophecy is much, much simpler than anything that's yet to be considered.
The Oracle's prophecy will be fulfilled via Xykon and Belkar switching bodies. As a lich, Belkar would be unable to taste, retire or breath and yet he'd still be able to cause all sorts of mayhem and destruction.
Zing. Prophecy fulfilled but the Belkster is still alive and kicking.
While doubtless some people will latch onto this theory, I am by no means seriously proposing it as a likely event. It's a joke. Like the title says: Asinine Theory Time. ;)
