Prologue: The First Flight of an Adventure

Vyndash, the largest and richest nation of Matdel, and the original home of K'rac, dragon champion and wielder of the flame axe Ranasart. Once the sorcerer was defeated, he returned home and raised to the fill the seat of Lord of Vyndash, to replace the lost Lord the war had claimed.
His younger brother, R'ir, one of Vyndash's strongest wyvern riders, was also awarded for his service in the great war. He was soon appointed Duke of Dalt, and commander of the wyvern division, which soon became known as the Black Squadron across Matdel.
As the two brother's ruled Vyndash through the years of peace that followed the great war, the tradition that the two sons of the Lord of Vyndash would become the Lord of Vyndash and the Duke of Dalt, as it has been since the great war.

Today, the Duke of Dalt has placed a demand for the Lord of Vyndash to step down from his throne! He has placed a tax ban over the territory of Dalt and is taxing his people out of their homes, and is making food scarce.
The Lord of Vyndash has been caught off guard by this demand as much as the council. He has sent for a team from the Black squadron an hour ago to be summoned and prepared to leave for Dalt to meet the Duke. As a request from Lord Vyndash`s only daughter, she has wished to go to Dalt and meet with her Uncle to keep the talk diplomatic. As his daughter left the capital to travel with the Black Squadron team, the Lord has let them go with two final words. The first, being that Princess Ashley was to be protected, even at the cost of their lives. The second, is that if Duke Tachir of Dalt was truely being as cruel to his people as he warned, he was to be seen as a traitor. The punishment for treason, was death.

You`re story begins on the back of the wyverns as you travel towards Dalt. A good few days journey away...

Kai looked back at his passenger on riding behind him on his wyvern. "Yeah, just let us know if you needa take a break for any reason okay?"

Ashley had never quite gotten the hang of Wyvern Riding. As the beast flapped its wings its snakelike body undulated beneath her and she felt her stomach lurch, but she regained her composure quickly and looked up to address the rider in front of her.

"Thank you, but I'm alright. You needn't worry about me, just see to it that we reach our destination as quickly as possible."

She thought for a moment.

"Do keep an eye on the horizon for archers, though. I don't trust my uncle, and if the reports are true about what he's been up to, there's no telling what he might try to pull."

Mirshaat

Mirshaat scans the horizon in front of his beast.

" We shouldn't need to worry about archers princess, we could always rise higher and avoid them. It is other wyverns we should be wary of. Do you know if any squadrons have thrown in support with the Duke?"

"I can't think of any that have publicly stated their support, but I'm sure that some of them have thrown their lot in with him in private. Without Wyvern Riders his military position would be too weak for him to be making such brazen demands."

As the squad continues to fly towards Dalt, a sudden scream is heard from below on the plains. From what you can see, a hand full of brigands have surrounded a group of tents, and a single young girl outside of the clearing.

Kai looks down at the scene ahead and his wyvern suddenly stops and hovers mid-air.

"Hey guys, are we going to do something about that down there? And just so you know, I hate going up against axemen."

Kai points down at the girl.

Ashley looks down on the scene below trying to assess the situation. The men below appear to be simple brigands, and while Kai is right about the axemen putting Wyvern Riders at a strategic disadvantage, she is confident that her forces will be up to the task.

"We've an obligation to protect the citizenry. So yes we are going to do something about it. Fly down to land there and prepare for battle." She points to wherever it is we're starting on this map

As you're wyverns land in the clearing, the brigand standing over the little girl turns towards you. The girl is still conscience, but appears to be injured.

"What the hell is this? You and your over grown lizards should just keep moving and mind your own business."

Ashley slides off of the wyvern and lands on her feet, taking a moment to settle herself back on firm ground before rising up to her full height and glaring at the brigand.

"I'm afraid that this has become our business. We do however have have other matters to attend to which are of greater importance than exterminating a few brigands, so I'm feeling generous. Let the girl go and you can walk away with your lives."

(Um... I believe you would've been doubled there. Your Con is 7, and the weight of your lance is 8, so a -1 penalty to SPD (5-1=4) So your attack speed is 4 and the Merc's attack speed is 8. You also seem to have forgotten to factor in defenses Your Atk: 11 (15+1-5) Merc's Atk: 5(13-1-7). And you also didn't factor in luck for the crit %s either, Your Crit: 0 (3-5) His Crit: 1 (3-2). You got the Hit chances right though)

(First, what Chris said, second, why are you moving to G6 afterward? That's going to get you killed so let's just pretend that it didn't happen)

(Also, Mint doesn't appear to be anyone's character, so I'm guessing she can't be recruited?)

Proposed plan:
Iluna flies to J4 and attacks the merc, then cantos to I2.
Mirshaat flies to J4 and attacks the merc, then cantos to J1.

Assuming both hit, the merc will be dead and Ashley and Kai will move to I5 and J2 respectively and wait.

If one of the first two attacks misses, then Kai will move to J4 to attack the merc, then canto to K2.
Ashley will move to I5 to finish the merc.

If Mint's AI is sane, then she'll move to F10 and smoke the bandit. This will leave the Merc with the option to either go after her or Ashley, and the two bandits only able to reach Ashley. Even if they all go for Ashley she's got a better than even chance of surviving, as with the boost from the forest and WTA the Bandits only have 37% hit and the merc only has 69%.

The first turn is going to be the bad one on this map, if we can get through without anyone dying we should be able to finish the first wave, vulnerary up and take down the rest of the enemies.

If everyone is on board with that plan we can start making moves.
