Hey! I'm making this thread because I just had my first experience as a guest on a podcast, and I had an absolute blast. A friend of mine and I are sort of 'armchair scientists', with a deep interest in astrophysics, space and the like, but none of the math under our belts needed to get into the game. Somehow, we managed to get invited as guests on the absolutely stellar (see what I did there?) Titanium Physicists podcast episode 12 (http://titaniumphysicists.brachiolopemedia.com/2012/04/01/episode-12-exiled-worlds-on-the-outskirts/), which is about dwarf planets and Kupier Belt objects. It was a ton of fun, but now I hate what my voice sounds like. I'm told this is normal.

I've also recently started listening to Neil DeGrasse Tyson's Star Talk podcast, which is just awesome.

What other science podcasts do you guys listen to? I'm not just interested in astrophysics - if you know of a good one about plate tectonics or evolutionary biology I'm totally interested in that as well.

Very cool! I'll try to listen to it soon. Here's my list:

The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe (http://www.theskepticsguide.org/) - A weekly science news show and easily my favorite podcast.
Skeptoid (http://skeptoid.com/) - Short spoken-word essays on paranormal phenomena and urban myths.
Point of Inquiry (http://www.pointofinquiry.org/) - The Center For Inquiry's official podcast.
Monster Talk (http://www.skeptic.com/podcasts/monstertalk/) - One of Skeptic Magazine's official podcasts, this one about cryptozoology.
Quackcast (http://moremark.squarespace.com/quackcast-home/) - A podcast about the intersection of science and medicine.

You might also like Astronomy Cast (http://www.astronomycast.com/), but I don't regularly listen to it.

Nice, thank you! I do listen to Skeptoid on occasion, as well as Radio Lab. Skeptic's Guide and Quackcast sound very interesting!

If you like Skeptoid, The Skeptics' Guide also has a spin-off called SGU 5x5, which is basically their version of it. I like Radiolab, too, but I don't listen to it very often.

Not a Podcast per se, but they just dumped a load of the TED Talks onto Netflix, and I think you can find them all on youtube as well.
