Hey all, real quick one...a little beyond the Q&A by RAW, so I created a thread.

What the easiest/earliest way for a Factotum, Dragonfire Adept or Binder to get Lore or Bardic Knowledge without a base class dip? PrCs are fine.

Cheers - T

Suel arcanamach into loremaster.

Start off with a long/hard way, and allow others to shorten it.

Factotums or DFAs can get into Paragnostic Apostle with little fuss, though Binders are screwed.

I'm fairly certain there was a vestige that gave bardic knowledge. Check out the List of Stuff (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19871954/Lists_of_Stuff). Actually it says that binders don't get a bardic knowledge, hmm I could of sworn.

Astaroth, a fourth level vestige presented in Cityscape.

If you're Int-focused, be a Dragonwrought Kobold and grab Draconic Knowledge (needs Int 19, true dragon, any three knowledge skills).

Perfect! Thank you both.

Nice catch, but unfortunately, this needs to be for a gnome. Should have mentioned in the OP.

Gnome Binder with Trivial Knowledge (Races of Stone), Astaroth, and Dantalion? I think I just found a sage for my party to meet :).

Yeah, pretty much what this character is going to be in my campaign too. :smallwink:
