Is there a deity with the protection domain and the magic domain? Or a list of all deities and their domains?

If you can use deities from any setting, why not make your own deity?
If you can't use deities for any setting, we'd need to know what setting the character will be in.

It's a homebrew setting and the DM hasn't given a lot of information. I think I'll go with a homebrew deity, see if they're down with it.

You could alway worship "a higher power" and select those domains, if you'd like.

Where do you get magic?

You could worship any deity that has the magic domain or protection domain then take the heretic of the faiths feat so you can switch out one of your domains

In Deities and Demigods there's an option to worship a whole pantheon instead of one god.

You can also worship the domains directly as philosophies, sort of like Ardents do. (My Necromanceress did just that when she got booted out of her seventh religion. Long story.)

Kikanuti, NG goblinoid deity described in Sandstorm, has both.

Edit: Also Laduguer, LE dwarven god from Races of Stone. So have your pick.
