Overview of facial expressions

Hi guys,

I'm currently experimenting on how to draw different facial expressions (stick figure style), and was wondering if somebody might have a table with the different expressions they use (given the amount of web comics and avatars made on he, I would be surprised if no one had).

One thing I might recommend is more than just basic expressions, try situations. :) So rather than just 'happy', try 'happy because she's just won a game', which is obviously very different to 'happy because she's arriving home after a long trip'. Context really helps with characterisation, even if you don't draw the context in. A good example is this (http://my.deviantart.com/messages/#/d4unsnm) - it shows a whole bunch of different expressions, but you can tell the artist had more ideas behind each drawing than just a plain emotion. Hope that helps!

There used to be a thread where people challenged others (for practice sake) to draw a wide range of emotions (displayed on faces in a grid) in OotS style. Can't remember what the name of the thread was though...
