"Ah yes, the 'Goblin'. People find them weak, ugly and annoying. The oppressive races, humans, elves, dwarves, and gnomes, believe that there is nothing to set them apart or make them remotely civilized. Let me tell you something, Goblins are the strongest race, not individually, but as a whole. If they had a leader to unify them, you bet they'd be running the world."- A human scholar teaching "Racial Studies"

Goblins are a race bred on survival. From the day they are born, they spend their life just trying to make it to another day. Goblins are also a short lived race, which is the only thing they prevents them from catching up to other races. Ironically, considered the weakest among the 'goblinoid' races, which are named after them. Goblins may be at the bottom of the racial food chain, but they have their pride.

Personality: Orcs go on about their warrior race and their pride, Elves believe in the finer things and spend their long life times mastering different arts. Humans boast the largest population, and being the fastest changing and most adapting race. But Goblins, yes Goblins, are Prideful in one thing only, Survival. As such, a goblin doesn't care about bragging rights or fame and fortune. Goblins care about surviving, and they make the best companions. They keep to themselves, but will not betray someone they have worked closely with. They also are bound to repaying debts as part of their culture.

Physical Description: Physically, goblins a smaller than humans. They come in a wide variety of colors, based on their ancestry, but a tint of green is the most common. Goblins are usually thin looking, and have snouts. Often noted for their extreme features, including larger ears, other races find goblins to look unattractive.

Relations: Goblins usually make very poor first impressions, and have difficult with relating to other races. They find Elves too aloof, and Gnomes and Dwarves have already trained specifically to fight them. Humans are far to open and emotional for goblins to relate to.

Alignment: Goblins have a wide variety of alignments, just like humans. It usually depends on their tribe and environment. For example, a city goblins survives by stealing and avoiding the law, so they lean towards chaotic neutral. A goblin who grows up in an all goblin city will probably be Lawful neutral or Lawful good.

Goblin Lands: Goblins usually take leftover lands, places that have been deserted for a large amount of time. When humans move in, the Goblins either try to stand their ground or they move on.

Religion: Goblins have no god which chooses to care specificity for their race, or at least they have no records of one. Tribal goblins worship Obad-Hai, because they are more in touch with nature and his neutral ways. Some city goblins worship Vecna because he knows where they hide, and he knows their crimes. These goblins usually worship him out of fear, but some come to understand the god.

Language: Goblins have their own language, which can have many dialects depending on the location. However, many goblins are more comfortable speaking common than their own language because it helps with racial relations.

Adventurers: Goblins adventure for several reasons. Some adventure to prove themselves, after being looked down upon by other races. Others adventure out of survival needs, to be able to provide for themselves. Some adventure because they realize how short their lifetime is and feel they have much to accomplish in it.
