Your sleep is fraught by nightmares of shadows. You see your home, your loved ones, burning, dying. You see Sigil in ashes. You a corpse-laden battlefield in the Feywild. You see horrible monsters in the Shadowfell. You see a thousand dead of your own kind strewn across an empty plain, with enemies laughing in the distance. You are denied even the mercy of waking, of ending this. Eve n in sleep you feel exhausted as you fight your way through a horrible amalgamation of your fears. But you here nothing but chanting: DAMATA NO BOKATA! DAMATA NO BOKATA!

You awake sweaty and terrified, wherever you are. But you notice an arrow, lodged just above your head. Tied to it is a strange capsule of sorts. Beyond that, nothing is out of the ordinary. No marks, no traces of magic, nothing.

Lucan

Lucan snaps upright, snatching the arrow in one smooth motion, his arm whipping around to bring the device in front of him. He attempts to open the capsule.

Dreaming came seldom to Mn'arr, as did sleeping. Given his heritage, he had learned to fear dreams, and what they held within them. This one was particularly nasty. He woke himself in a cold sweat, another oddity, as he didn't usually perspire. He leapt from his bed to find an arrow hanging above him. Snatching the object bound to it, he began to investigate the curio.
Hmm, now what could this be....

Arder Shieldhammer (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=381720), Dwarf Fighter

Arder woke up, body soaked in sweat as was his bed, shuddered from the dream, and went straight for his ale. Rising up from the bed, not noticing that as he rose up he snapped an arrow that was lodged in his headboard, he stood up, quite bare, and took a long drink from his mug. As he steadied himself on the bedside table, he noticed the arrow head stuck in the headboard, with some shaft of arrow left, and a capsule hanging from it. After draining his mug, he set it down and grabbed the capsule, and tried to open it.

Covanne

Covanne shuddered as he opened his eyes and came out of his trance. The fire had died down leaving nothing but embers and he shivered in the early morning chill. That was no natural nightmare...someone is trying to send a message. Do they already know I'm here? Have to assume that they do. He stretched his neck and stood up from the mat on the floor where he'd been sitting.

Glancing at the arrow in the wall he walked over to the small basin and washed his face. Suppose they're going for the dramatic and the mundane. Drying his hands he walked over and regarded the arrow. Looks like normal fletching, nothing strange about that. Pulling the arrow out he untied the capsule and put them both on the table. Deal with you in a minute. He pulled his boots and leather jerkin on and attached his scabbard to his belt, sword inside. Now, let's see whats inside.

He'll open the capsule as well. Also, does he know of any dream sending or nightmare spell that could have caused his nightmare?

Everyone who has posted so far:
The capsule breaks open easily, revealing a piece of parchment. I'll PM you each individually about what it says.

Tal Rasha (http://pifro.com/pro/view.php?id=7728), Sun Elf Arcanist

Opening his eyes, the ancient elf exits his trance with a shudder, disturbed by the sights that had harried him during it. Ordinarily he simply reflected on the events of the day, but this night he had found himself overcome with the visions and could not wake from them. Noticing an arrow lying on the floor next to him, he picks it up and rises slowly to his feet, using his staff as leverage. Cracking it open, he peers at its contents with, glancing down momentarily as his cat Freyja rubs up against his leg, purring, hoping for attention.

Malus Nightmorne: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/713896/DnD4e%20-%20Sehanine%27s%20Chosen.pdf

The assassin woke abruptly, a shock of terror momentarily disrupting even Malus' normally unshakable composure, jarring him from rest. Vestiges of fatigue cleared quickly, his honed mind rapidly dispelling the opiate of sleep as alert eyes and ears take methodical, careful measure of his surroundings, companion shade mimicking his every action. Silently, he considers what he had seen, though the killer soon dismisses the montage of brutal visions when his attention falls upon the peculiar capsule overhead.

Upon carefully examining it and the arrow with which it had come with his usual reflexive suspicion, he deftly opens the container, perusing its contents.

Cordus Leon

The bard yawns loudly wondering why he had such vivid nightmares. He does his best to push the morbid dream from his thoughts and slowly gets out of bed. A piercing headache greets him as he gets to his feet.

Shouldn't have had that seventh ale last night.

Steadying himself he surveys the room which is in quite a state, wondering what happened the night prior. Cordus looks over at the bed and notices an arrow lodged just above where his head had been. Ambling over he dislodges the projectile, and upon closer finds a capsule tied to it. Raising an eyebrow he unties the object for a closer inspection.

What do we have here?

Thelios opened his eyes, hands trembling. He looked at it, and instead of its usual tanish brown, it was a pale white. Thelios sat up, and fiddled with his pack for a moment, pulling out a mirror. He cursed as he saw the pale, dark eyed reflection staring back at him. Damn that nightmare. I've got to refocus. Thelios concentrated hard, reforming his appearance in his mind. First, he fixed his eyes, back to the bright green he had had as a child. Then, he felt his skin crawl for a second before it turned back into its usual color, along with his hair. Once he was normal again, Thelios put the mirror back in his pack. He laid back down, and then he noticed the container over his head. Well, it seems someone left me a present. Thelios took it down and opened it easily, eager to examine its contents.
