Anyway yes, you only have to kill/incapacity Jack to win. Sometimes killing the mount makes killing the rider easier, other times it isn't worth the effort.

Feel free to start us out.

Jack will start mounted filling his starting area.
He's holding a loaded sling in one hand, and his powerstone in the other.

I'll leave the shield at home for this match.

Correct. We may not view stat block contents until after a match has been called. For that matter we can't view any spoiler not addressed to us uninvited until the match ends. The only exception is that we can view the contents of an Actions spoiler if we have LoS: so most players don't bother using an actions spoiler if everyone has LoS to everyone else.

A few questions before I decide how to respond:

Can one stand on top of the magic walls?

What about the glass walls?

If yes, are balance checks required just to stand there or only when moving?

Yes, you can stand on the glass walls. I'm not sure what the balance would be. Logically 12 inches thick is DC 10, but since medium/small characters can only fill one square that might be a DC 15 for standing on just the 6" extending under each adjacent tile.

I don't think a check is required to simply stand there, but most traditional methods of moving into a balancing position require a check on the initial entry movement.

The Magic Walls have no listed thickness, but as drawn appear to be 1/2 - 1/3 the glass wall thickness. 4-6 inches -> DC 15 balance.

That would be too easy.

Tasha should be at, at least, 5ft elevation in her current position. Assuming you have no objections, Tasha will use Abrupt Jaunt as an immediate action to teleport so that she is standing on top of the magic wall at H-15 (one square straight west, one square diagonally west-south-up).

Since you're balancing, Tasha is flat footed, and if it hits that will be a balance check time to avoid potentially falling 10ft for another 1d6.

In some ways readying an action is a bit like casting a non-obvious spell. Any opponent that has LoS to you can see that you took a standard action to Ready, but the action readied and the triggering condition may be hidden out of sight inside a spoiler.

Edit: Future note: Arena Tradition holds that 'casts a spell' isn't specific enough for a readied action. Readied actions need to name which spell would be cast if triggered.

Jack - Round 4

Free: drop empty sling and used powerstone.
Move: Draw Lance, hold in one hand.
Standard: Smash R13/R14 glass wall panel.
Wall has an AC of 2 (-1 large -5 dex -2 inanimate), so Jack hits & destroys the wall on anything higher than a natural 1.

Hopefully one less glass panel to squeeze past next time Jack comes this way.

Ride over to Y13/Y14, and end turn squeezing.

Er, I think the platform is taller than the wall at M13. I sort of thought the magic wall only extended 10ft above ground level, and melded into the stairs/platform aft +10ft.

I'll look for precedent or call a ref if you would like.

Lets see, Score's Glass Arena was last used for rounds 88 and 83.

Precedent A (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=8113851#post8113851), Precedent B (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=8016319#post8016319). The magic walls do not extend vertically past the top of the elevated platform.

Feel free to revise your Jaunt exit location or call a ref.
