View Full Version : Emulating True creation with Wish?

Hello all... I have a quick and yet terrible question... I've spent about half an hour to try and find a method with which or Sorcerer can get True creation on his list, at least for a single use.

Correct me if I am wrong but=>

=>I found no items that can do that. Perhaps I missed something?

=>Shades specifies that spell has to be on wizard/sorc list so it seems no Shadow True creation [shadowcraft magic is not an option].

=>Wish can only replicate 6th lvl or below outside sorc/wizard list.

=============================================>

So my solution was to use Wish and its ability to create a non-magical item with value of below 25k.

What do I want to create so badly you ask? Oh nothing... just an NPC sorc needs to make few grams of anti-adamantium[keeping it in D&D setting ^^]. This is done for his background story.

He possessed an ring of three wishes and I was thinking, letting him use one of them to create an anti-matter bomb to "solve" a certain conflict. He would hide in a force cage to survive.

So yeah... its just for piece of background [explains a lot of stuff in the story, fits well as an explanation of smooth as a glass crater in a middle of the map. ^^].

So yeah. Does this work? can I get True creation [preferably "instant version"(read=>standard action) of it] some other way besides making a custom staff or what have you?

Thanks for reading ^^.

If your the dm and you have no problem with it I see no reason why that won't work so go ahead and give your npc the ability to creat a anti matter bomb or destroy the universe (true creation can do this) so yes why not

Hello all... I have a quick and yet terrible question... I've spent about half an hour to try and find a method with which or Sorcerer can get True creation on his list, at least for a single use.Complete Champion, page 52, has a Sorcerer alternate class feature you may be interested in combining with the Creation Domain (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/divine/domains.htm#creationDomain)

...

Not that it matters; for as short of a time as you'll need it, Major Creation (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/majorCreation.htm) can do the job, if you have Eschew Materials (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/feats.htm#eschewMaterials), and Wish (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/wish.htm) can do so directly if you can assign a gold piece value to the anti-item, by way of the safe-list entry "Create a nonmagical item of up to 25,000 gp in value."

And, of course, the Major Ring of Spell Storing (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/rings.htm#spellStoringMajor) will let a cleric who has the right domain load the spell for him.

Is there something wrong with Arcane Disciple (Creation)? I mean, it won't give it to you for a standard action, but it's kind of standard for these sorts of questions.

Well, I'm the DM, but I like explanations that are not "because I said so".
And no, he is not destroying the universe, just few square miles ^^ It will be just few grams actually^^.

Is it an ACF or a feat? I am not sure that I've heard of it?O_o

Because when i comes to ACFs, he can't do much about that. When it comes to fetas, he might have room.

Yeah, I really just need it as "the forbidden solution that uses semi-cosmic approach". The idea is, he was using this shtick to annihilate a small celestial host. The players MAY try to recreate this.. but to do so, they'd need to do a enormous amount of digging as casting wish, isn't enough. One needs to know what he/she wishes for, and to find that, they would need to either break in in a ridiculously secure facility [coincidentally build on top of the crater, in memory of "never do that again"] or embark on some planar adventure.

Arcane disciple is a feat from complete divine (needs arcane spellcasting, 4 ranks K:R 4 ranks spellcraft and match your deities alignment) that lets you chose a domain your deity offers - the spells of that domain are added to your class list.

I would rule that the GP value of any amount of antimatter is too high for either the "Wish for a nonmagical item" or Eschew Materials to work. Since there aren't any D&D rules for antimatter, we have to revert to the rules from our own world, and even one atom of antihydrogen costs a heck of a lot.

The Arcane Disciple feat from Complete Divine ought to do it for you-- it'll add all the spells from a single domain to your class list. After that, you can just pick up a scroll or something.
