I have scourged these forums many times to get ideas on interesting characters, my current character is a lizardman with a 20 strength: rogue+3, spirit-shaman+1 (for RP reasons) and just took two levels of fighter for HP cause that is what my rogue has been doing anyways is going into rages and killing things easily... :)

One of my group's DMs has mentioned his next campaign will be a sea-faring one...
With that in mind, I am looking for an INTERESTING sea-faring character idea...I am looking for suggestions. Note: I am not looking for optimized persay, as I like to RP with a quirky character more than hack/slash my way...

I don't know what level he is intending, but for purposes we will say a range of 3-8...

This would be greatly appreciated as I love reading the ideas you all come up with...it captivates my attention almost as Banjo the Clown sermons at the local shrine... :D

Druid! Play with the dolphins, troll ships (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/controlWater.htm) or sink them. (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/controlWeather.htm)

Keep the aquatic template in mind, it costs you 2 dexterity, but you get underwater breathing and a swim speed IIRC.

I was thinking of playing a caster class that would assimilate many of the wind-weavers abilities from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series... :)
So Druid and/or sorcerer was an option. (Druid would probably be more based towards it though)
