All right, so, the story my DM is weaving requires me to create a style of my own. Going to try and keep it small since the style is just beginning, but I personally want it to be based around a scorpion and make nice use of a spiked chain.

Creating a new style is a lot of work. It might make more sense to make a few new maneuvers in a style you already know. Alternatively, there are a few homebrew disciplines out there that would go well with a spiked chain. Maybe just have your character be the inventor of one of those?

It may help to look at the Age of Warriors project which has a lot of homebrew disciplines as does Libram of Battle.

QFT.

Some recommendations:
Cthonic Serpent: (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131567) Focus on chains and such. Not so much the scorpion part, but it can at least give you ideas.
Viper Fang: (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48255) Focuses on venom and such. This one's not so much on the chains part, but again, at the very least it can give ideas.

If you don't want to just take one of these disciplines as-is, I'd suggest picking whether you want to focus on the scorpion part or the spiked chain part, and using one of these as a base, and the other as inspiration for new maneuvers to add.

If you really want to make something entirely original, then just use them both as inspiration, and perhaps as a template.

If you want something entirely original but don't want to do it yourself, NeoSeraphi (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=12130730&postcount=138) is both prolific, and known for taking homebrew requests.

There you go. That's about all I can do for you short of actually helping you. :smalltongue:

Oh, one last thing. If neither of those disciplines do it for you, and you want to check out others, I believe this (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aknome3XBfqzdE8tZzlfbkZncEdKZzZ0NHhsM0YzU nc#gid=0) [Google document] is a relatively up-to-date list of the majority of custom disciplines floating around here.
