Mage hand and multiple targets?

Can you change the target of a mage hand spell after you have cast it?

For example I use mage hand and move a small key from point A to point B, then I use the same spell, without breaking concentration to move a different key from point A to point B again.

Since the first time I saw this spell I imagined it as a weak telekinetic ability for the mage, but a player of mine point out that it might be only one item per cast.

Since the spell states that you target one object, and you can move it around slowly, I would very much say that the spell is limited to interacting with that one object, for as long as you keep concentrating.

You could use Swift Concentration (skill trick, CS) to maintain concentration as a swift action, then cast Mage Hand again. Requires 12 ranks Concentration, though.
