View Full Version : Best Crusader Handbook?

So in a PF/3.5 game I feel like playing 4E fighter so I'm going to give the Crusader a try. I've played a warblade striker type before so I know a bit about the system.

I'm thinking Warforged Crudsader lockdown/tank. I hear the Crusader is quite good at this role.

The feats I'm thinking is Combat Reflexes, Quickdraw, and Stand Still but not sure what else will go great with this build. I may pick up the concentration check = will save maneuver from Warblade.

Ill switch from polearm and sword n board every so often.

So what I need is a really good in dept handbook... I'm not looking to kill everything but to lock enough stuff down to protect the other members of the party since their HP will be low (I think one has a template that gives him no con score).

Can he edit locked threads? If not, it's stuck the way it is.

I'm partial to the feat Vital Recovery. It is the equivalent to a free Cure Light Wounds potion once per encounter. At mid levels it's Cure Moderate Wounds. As a warforged, since healing spells are only half as effective the feat is worth a lot more to you to go along with the healing strikes. It's not a must have feat for crusaders, but it is good synergy.

I'm also going to be playing a Crusader soon... I need a Good or Nuetral god that would want one of the elder evil's dead...

I'm thinking Bahamut (just cause he is a fricken dragon) or one of the death gods but I'm not sure...

I'm fairly certain that EVERY god wants the Elder Evils dead...
Well there might be one or two overly nihilistic evil ones who don't and the Four Horsemen probably wouldn't mind, but beyond that take your pick.
