Ok, I'm going to have to ask: where in The 9 Hells does the More-Russian-Than-You-Fish come from?

Zoofights of course. That's the Sturgeon General, a giant sturgeon and the last surviving member of the Russian army (Because he marched the others to death). He can sing the Internationale loud enough to turn concrete into dust, replaced his army with a swarm of flying stingrays, and goes around conscripting anyone he can find to build the mighty fortress of Sturgeongrad. Unfortunately, like the flaming rabbit and the boxing elephant, he was killed by a far inferior beast and now lives only in my Row of Honor.

Nice. But we do have the screen space. May I recommend using Big Huge Labs? They make the demotivators in a larger size, showing the pictures in more detail. This goes for everyone, of course.
If you are lacking webspace, I actually do recommend tumblr. It's as easy to set up as a forum account, easy to use to upload pictures, and stores them pretty much infinitely. It also allows you to send the pictures to other other tumblr-sites, like our D&Demotivator (http://ddemotivators.tumblr.com/) site, sparing me additional step to reupload them myself. Or your account could be even added to the site, allowing you to upload them on the site directly, then copying them here.

Yes.

You create a poster via BigHugeLabs, then you save it.

You then upload that saved picture from your computer to an image-hosting site, such as Imageshack or Photobucket.

Then, if your heart is pure and you believe in the power to revolutionize the world, you can post your posters any damn place you like.

To wit:

Not especially, I supported him against Croak a Cola but didn't vote because I figured he didn't have a chance and voted against him both other times. There's been successful fighters that I've liked, The Alliance, Iron Manatee, Bison*, Ned Killy, and Snapture for instance, there's just more that didn't do so well (G. Rex, Mr. Atlantic, Drillbjorn, Edward Tigerhands, Imperaptor, Hydrifficus, Dread Zeppelin, Gamma Constrictor, The Sturgeon General, Hare Metal, Horsepower, Murducken, and of course Muhammut Kali) and some absolutely wretched fighters that did far better than they had any right to (Wolfbike, Croctopus, the Pangolins [Minus Sawz, Sawz is cool], Armour Dillo).

Also, you could have easily looked that question up; as my voting is a matter of public record and has been for the last four years. If you have any other questions, look there first.

Also, by that point a lot of those Sentai were old. Japan's got one giant continuity, but they swap teams after 1 year/season (Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was like 3 Sentai Seasons with 3 teams). But the older teams are still around generally speaking.
So in that picture, you've got thirty years of Sentai grouped together. There are people in that group who have been saving the world for longer than I've been alive (barely).
And they all contribute equally.
Also, I think at least some of the Sentai teams recruited 20-somethings. Like, the Pirate Super Sentai (the ones in the front of that picture, and the next-to-most-recent team) look to be in their 20s during their season (though they're space pirates flying a giant red galleon spaceship zord, so maybe they skipped school).

Thirty five, actually.

Thirty five teams of suited superheroes. And the Extra Rangers are off screen. You have to feel sorry for whoever's fighting them, though that pic is a promotional one...

And they all contribute equally.

In the Legendary War? The first 34 teams did, yes. Gokaiger... Not so much, since they weren't even a team, let alone on the planet yet. :smalltongue:

I thought that it was the majority of the teams who recruited people in their 20s... I mean, the first five, alone, are elite squads given superpowers by their military!

Pretty sure that only about 10 teams actually were teenagers...

I see no problem with it, but an explanation would sure come handy.

FAD!, these threads are notorious for going off the rails in utterly absurd and often hilarious ways. How could non-table top RPG posters possibly make it worse? But yhea, an explanation would be nice if it's a slightly obscure reference.

Easier. Story has fewer comic-style cutscenes. Nice map. Big bosses, with glowing weak spots (not kidding here (http://theparanoidgamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Untitled.jpg)). Don't get it for the multiplayer, it's not Little Big Planet. Get it for the Fire-Ice-Lightning powers. Plus, in this one you can actually find every shard. I'd say it's worth it.

I'm not sure if you're talking about the blocky picture with all the killed monsters that was taken from Adventure Dennis (http://www.bookofpdr.com/comics/adventure-dennis/)or the Grim one titled "homage" that is in fact a "realistic" version of super mario world. A Malconvoker's free metamagic adjustment applied to Repeat a summoning spell gets you two demons for the same price. You could go with two succubi, true, but the message doesn't become a double-entendre (pun not intended) if you don't use two incubi.

Not to quibble, but by far the most likely impact is going to be a sun or a completely lifeless planetoid. Now, if you're above an inhabited planet and firing in its general direction, you're a jerk. But otherwise...

Trouble with that plan is that this is space. Advanced trajectory calculations are required to do ANYTHING, targeting is going to be incredibly simple. And then keep in mind that since space is so very empty, you can have a shooting solution from the other end of the solar system. Heck, if you use laser weapons, the enemy won't even realize they're under fire until they're getting hit.

And with that observation, I give you these posters.

It's worth remembering that lasers always diffract, even in space- though the wider the aperture, the lower the diffraction- a broad beam will spread out less than a narrow one.

Not to quibble, but by far the most likely impact is going to be a sun or a completely lifeless planetoid. Now, if you're above an inhabited planet and firing in its general direction, you're a jerk. But otherwise...

Actually, the best odds, by far, are you missing so terribly that your shot travels through the galaxy without hitting anything, and ends up exiting the galaxy. At which point it will most likely end up missing galaxies it passes near. If it does hit a galaxy, it will likely pass through that one without hitting anything in that galaxy as well. And continue until the heat death of the universe. Even if you shot it at the speed of life.

THAT is how vast and empty space is.

However, if it gets anywhere near any celestial body, it will change course due to it's gravity. If it gets close enough, it might even go into orbit. Of course, this depends on the type of weapon. If it was a light-based weapon, it would basically have to travel within a few AU of a black hole to get caught… but if it were a missile or lump of metal (can do a LOT of damage to spacecraft), it will be fairly easy to get caught in a gravity well…

Note that he didn't say the most likely outcome, but that the most likely impact. That would require the shot to hit something.

Since I've only seen a few episodes of Power Rangers (the intro to the one where they got dinosaur pets, one or two from the original, and maybe one or two others), how do all the various incarnations relate to each other?

Generally speaking you have two forms of continuity with the power rangers. Version 1, original people, but new bad guy forces them to get more powerful ranger gear. So original rangers get new suits, new zords, new everything when lord zed showed up and kicked their butts. Version 2 brings in a new cast. There is rarely, if ever, an explanation for this. But the old guys are generally around, there would sometimes be episodes where the originals show up for some reason to help, or one of them will appear as a new ranger. Tommy was the green ranger, then he went white ranger, I think he came back a couple of other times too. All that being said,

Im pretty sure Tommy was the most "long Lived ranger" with about half the original cast being gone by like...the 3rd series (the ninja one, that the movie was about)

Tommy was the Green ranger with the Dragon
The white ranger with the tiger
the white ranger with the falcon
I believe he was the red ranger for when the zords where had geometrically shaped heads, and the one where they switched to cars.

Then i think he was the only original member for when they went into space.

I think the series after that was a completely original cast that took place a few years after the rest.

Tommy was the green mighty morphin ranger, the white tiger ranger, the red zeo ranger, the red turbo ranger, and then a few years later the black dinoranger.

Tommy was not a ranger during "in Space" although he did appear in "Forever Red" in wild force, in his zeo costume.

For more power rangers, I recommend checking out Linkara's "history of power rangers" series.

Eh, maybe. Personally, I don't think merely mentioning how the environment you're on feels is enough though, he'd have to do something like "as I bring my hand through the water, I scoop up some of it, and fling it into his face as I quickly close my hand into a fist and follow through with a punch".

Stunts 1 and 2 do not account for "quality". 1-dies are stunts where you describe your action better than "I hit it". 2-dies are stunts where you do it better than "i hit it" and use or somehow edit the environment.
They are supposed to be spammable and easy. Only 3s are hard to get.

If you're going to go by the book, at least actually go by the book.

1 Dies ARE just describing it better than "I punch it", but 2 Dies are just have to do that and use the environment to your advantage.

By the core rulebook, all you need to do to get a 3 Die stunt is change the environment somehow in the action of punching a dude in the face. Otherwise known as "being a Solar Hero Stylist."

But all of this ignores the most important rule in Exalted: If you don't like how the rules work in a situation, change them. When I'm ST, if my players don't mildly impress either the group or me with their stunt, they're not getting anything above a 1-die.

If you're going to go by the book, at least actually go by the book.
I am. Only 2s demand environment usage. Swinging from a rope, jumping on the enemy's weapon as you dodge it, saying "just as planned" really hard as you hump your enemy's mistress, pulling a torch out of its frame on the wall to parry the incoming knives.

One-die stunts require a good description of an action. In return, the player gains one additional die, and the character may perform feats that border on impossible.

Two-die stunts require that the character interact with the environment in some notable fashion, taking advantage of the scenery. This can be the physical environment or things the character knows, like an enemy's phobias or a lover's favorite flower. The player gets two bonus dice and may perform limited dramatic editing.

Three-die stunts are singular acts of greatness, stunning bravado and visual poetry, defined by the capacity to leave the other players slack-jawed in astonishment.

Link isn't an unoptimized fighter. Depending on version and willingness to refluff, he's either a warblade with a bunch of cool magic items, a warblade/factotum, a sorcadin (of freedom) (high charisma could be how he gets everyone to tell him stuff by just standing there), or a fighter/wizard gish build. He might be an unoptimized fighter in the old 2D ones.

Believe what you wish, but by our standards, he lacks out-of-combat skills and abilities and is therefore at the least low tier. In addition, all he does is hit things, with different weapons.

Don't get me wrong, I love Link.

Uh... Music, ranching, fishing, entomology, climbing, swimming, utility magic, general problem solving, sailing, and half a dozen others. Also, that's rarely what people mean by unoptimized, I.E. tier almost always refers to combat capability, with utility as a secondary factor (because a combat focused character can beat the snot out of a utility character who can't also fight). Also Also, NO!

In nearly all games, he has musical skills that he can practically do magic with: Bard.
In a lot of the more recent games, he uses combat maneuvers: Warblade. (Helmsplitter from Twilight Princess is Death From Above, period.)
In the earlier games (Majora's Mask and prior), he was more basic (due to programming also, no doubt) and didn't use special maneuvers like such, other than a whirlwind attack maybe: Fighter.
He uses a shield and sword, but also has an array of other weapons: as a Fighter this would be unoptimized. As a Warblade, he'd need proficiency with ranged weapons from elsewhere (race could do this).
In Majora's Mask, he'd either have levels in Master of Masks, or just a ton of brow-slot magic items.
In nearly all games, he uses a bit of magic, both from items and magic he's learned/awakened himself, but it's not strong enough to be anything on high Sorcerer levels. UMD accounts for the items, an unoptimized gish build or Bard levels could account for the learned/innate magic.
With the variety of skills he shows over the games, if you'd want to stat him as being capable of all the things he does in all the games, you'd have to make him a Factotum, too. Otherwise, some skillful class would do, like Rogue or Bard.

Rather than agreeing with him being low-Tier, I'd say he is low-level. The Zelda world could actually be prettymuch a perfect E6 example, even.

I've actually Tiered a homebrew class based off Link a while back. I think it fell between Tier 3 and 4, but it only had the OoT/MM Link's abilities.

I didn't know about the Persona 3 anime, I actually found the Persona 4 anime by pure luck and I have never played the games, so please forgive my ignorance concerning them.

I was going for the fact that playing an actual character from the games/anime is almost custom tailored for the PF summoners

Sure as hell FEELS like it goes faster when everything is spoilered, but that could obviously be a trick of the mind too, the brain is prone to things like that after all.
