I am playing a level 6 orc barbarian who was recently possessed by an ancient cleric lich. The lich left, but the orc still thinks he is magical.

What's some mundane stuff the orc can use to "convince" his party that he is still magic?

Pure Barbarian? Beyond magical items I don't think there much beyond I hit things really hard and jump really far.

Well, a lot of the Barbarian Wizard (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195049) tricks apply, for "spellcasting". Knockback + Power Attack + Whirlwind Attack works for a Turn Undead.

Transmute a rock intoi dust with your bare hands! Travel forward in time by closing your eyes and opening them. Occasionally claim a buff was your magics. You don't need to know how you did it, the mysterious mysetery powers of the mystery are so mysterious that you don't even know how they you do it!
Really though, why question someone with an axe twice your size? I sure wouldn't...

Edit: or do anything on the big fancy list... I always enjoy a cliche transmutation trick though.

Actually, fluffing a Barbarian as getting their power from the raw, surging power of the gods flowing through them, none of this pansy 'spell' stuff, could really work for the right kind of deity.
Can you say "WAAAGH!"?

Use intimidate to cast Doom?

Inflict Light Wounds -- Hit opponent with your axe
Inflict Moderate Wounds -- As Light Wounds, but with Power Attack
Divine Power -- Rage
Animate Dead -- Throw corpse at opponent

These are just off the top of my head

Actual build is monk1 (rage variant)/spirit lion and wolf totem barb2/fighter2/fist of the forest 2.

Uses knockdown, a great axe, bare fists, and a whole lot of rage. Has Trollblooded, which gives him regen 1/fire & acid.

Inflict Light Wounds -- Hit opponent with your axe
Inflict Moderate Wounds -- As Light Wounds, but with Power Attack
Divine Power -- Rage
Animate Dead -- Throw corpse at opponent

These are just off the top of my head

These are good!

+1.

Create water especially. You'll either groan or cast create water yourself (from laughing too much).

And a few divinations I thought of

Speak With Dead -- Yell at the corpse
Augury -- Flip a coin
Divination -- The material component is a special "sacred mushroom". Or part of a cactus depending on availability.

He could "cast" buffing spells like Prayer or anti-buffs like Bestow Curse. Without spellcraft, how can anybody tell that they don't actually get a +1 bonus?

Detect Evil: Screams "Evil" whenever he sees something he doesn't like
Smite Evil: Smashes anything he sees that he doesn't like
Protection from Evil: Repeat "Smite Evil" until it's gone
Magic Circle Against Evil: Do "Protection from Evil" for a 10ft radius around whatever was "evil"

Shouting "By Crom" a great deal will help to establish your holy credentials.

Deathwatch - kick someone. If they don't move, they're dead.
Darkness - close eyes.
Deeper Darkness - put on a blindfold.
Hold Person - Grapple.
Shatter - use the really big club.
Stone Shape - Use the really big club, and a chisel.
Remove Curse - "The Power of Crom Compels You"

Isn't it the most important that the orc convinves himself that he knows magic?

Whenever a spell goes off, simply claim you did it.

Should you have any ability in the art of Bluffing, you may even be able to convince others.

...

Actually, with high enough Bluff, this may even be a way to play a Tank; as all the enemies target the spellcaster.

Pretend your strength comes from buffs and quickened spells. Especially easy if your DM allows persist. Scream "quickened divine favor when you rage", nevermind that it's a 9th level spell.

And, yes, breaking foes/things and calling it a spell works too.

Secretly coordinate with an ally so that he gets the feat spell thematics so that many of his spells seem to come from you. Also good for tanking similar to above.

With Deformity (Madness) you can have your Barbarian legitimately believing he is imbued with the divine power of a deity.

Thankyou guys I just laughed out loud enough for someone to come in my room and ask if I was ok / choking to death on my dinner.

As long as he believes he did it then thats fine

Speak With Dead -- Yell at the corpse

 Alternatively, use the corpse as a ventriloquist puppet.

Oh, and don't forget the shout spell.

This only works with children and hobbits, well unless you are large and strong.

Tie a rope around the corpses ankles, wrists and neck. Attach the other ends to some sticks. Animate Dead :smalleek:

Why does this give me the mental image of an orc barbarian sticking his hand up a dead guy's behind?

Read Magic: Bluff Check, say nonsense words.
Curse water: say anything in a foreign language, sounding angry while you do it.
Create Water: Have a beer, wait.
Magic Stone: throw it really hard.
Hide from Undead: duck and cover.
Align Weapon: hit the blunt end on somebody of the desired alignment.
Desecrate: see Create Water
Find Traps: walk in front of the Rogue. (Some parties do this anyway).
Silence: place gag on enemy.
Mark of Justice: put on ring, hit target on the forehead really hard.
Symbol of Pain: Write symbol on rock, bash target with rock.
Symbol of Sleep: as Symbol of Pain, but repeat until target is unconscious.
Symbol of Fear: Intimidate Check.
Tongues: when people speaking an unfamiliar language can't understand your gibberish, insist that they must be under a curse of deafness.
Calm Emotions: Go into a Rage, on the theory that there can only be a certain amount of anger in one place at one time.

Read Magic: Convince yourself beforehand you can actually read magic. Then spout gibberish.
Silence: Kill target. It's Permanent Silence.
Tongues: when people speaking an unfamiliar language can't understand your gibberish, insist that they are hostile. Attack them immediately.
Calm Emotions: Kill enemy. He's at peace now, just look at his eyes.

Fixed that for ya.

Sooo, the barbarian got unpossessed by the lich. THe barbarian did, however, find a 2 rings of greater spell storing, a brooch of greater spell storing, and an amulet of spell storing. So he has 35 spell levels of storing items.

Haven't had a chance to cast too much magic yet, though. Mundane or otherwise.
