General Forum weirdness

Lately the forums have been exhibiting some weird behavior. Things like posts not bumping threads (nor showing up on the thread list), and the opposite: posts bumping threads but not showing up when you click the thread.

This is in addition to the slowness and timeouts that have been happening for months.

Eh, stuff like that's been happening for quite a while now.

I've noticed that often when it doesn't bump the thread it also won't count my post on my profile.

And its getting worse, not better. At least 3/4 of my posts exhibit this behaviour and lately even getting on the site requires three or four tries.

Yeah, the mods already know about it, and there've been plenty of threads about it. They're doing their best to fix it, but it's just a matter of how many people use the forums.

Sheriff: There are several threads in Board Issues about this kind of problem. We're aware the site is having problems. We're working on it.
